4.0 out of 5 stars Can't argue for the cost, 1 Jun. 2011
For the cost, you really can't argue with the quality of this product. You DO need a few coatings to get the length you require, but what do you expect for a few quid? It's a good accessory for your everyday look and washes off easily. I like this product and will buy again when the time comes :)

35p is a bargain for something such as this. True, it's used once every now and again, but for 35p where can you go wrong?
It's accurate and handy to keep in your bedside drawer for such times it's required. The delivery was fast and I got it a lot sooner than I thought.
Completely recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quality, 19 Mar. 2011
First of all, I have to mention the fantastic price of this option. Not only did this prove to be the cheapest out of every other frame A4 size, but the delivery charges were even included in this cheap price!
Secondly, I was so impressed by the quality of the frame for this amazing price - the silver border makes the product seem a lot more expensive, whilst the plastic sheet is more durable than glass and makes the frame more durable.
Another key point is the fact that some frames say A4 but include the frame in this size meaning the picture has to be smaller than A4, but this frame was perfect for keeping any certificates or a special document safe without having to crop it.

Overall, I would completely recommend you choose this frame, as it is highly impressive and worth every single penny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent phone, 4 Jan. 2011
As my first touchscreen phone, I can honestly say it's a little gem, providing you don't compare it with Apple products.

PROS:
- easy to navigate, icons are clear and everything is easy to understand
- doesn't rely solely on the touchscreen, includes 6 buttons (the volume buttom can also be used to scroll up and down but only for a few lines at a time)
- the screen resolution is bright, sharp and colourful
- vibrating feature is strong and easily detectable
- camera is good quality for the price you're paying
- the little customisable widgets at the side are fun to muck around with and can be placed on your starter screen
- fairly customisable throughout
- little quirks such as photo contacts, 'smart unlock' and widgets keep the phone entertaining
- ringtone is as loud or quiet as you want it to be

CONS:
- touchscreen is more easily used with your nail or even a stylus rather than the tip of your finger
- it can be easily unlocked which proves annoying in your pocket (would be easier with a code unlock)
- if you organise the files into thumbnails rather than a list, this only lasts once and you need to keep reapplying this setting
- changing the ringtone took quite a while to crack
- the back comes off quite frequently I found, but my friend says hers doesn't have that problem
- internal memory is small meaning a memory card is almost necessary if you want to use the phone for photos or mp3 music
- the small message memory - my last phone (a Sony Ericsson) held 1000 messages altogether whereas this one holds 200 in the inbox and 200 in the sent messages folder which proves annoying when you're the kind of person who likes to keep certain messages

Overall, this phone is a lightweight, stylish gadget which is simple to use but has a few features which Samsung really needs to look into. Hope this review helped!

Casio FX 83 ES Calculator
Casio FX 83 ES Calculator

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 4 Jan. 2011
Although I haven't tried the new model of the Casio calculator range, the Casio fx-83ES is outstanding quality.
The display is sharp and clear and has the ability to be manually lightened and darkened. The buttons are clear to understand and work with an easy touch (i.e. you don't have to apply much pressure to enter the digit). The rounded nature of the digits that appear on screen make the calculator feel modern and new rather than the standard 7 segment display.

I'm not too sure but I think you can also get the version of this calculator to work on solar power too, but I have the standard on/off button function which works a dream since it automatically switches itself off if unused for about five minutes.

The most impressive feature of this calculator has got to be its battery life. I have had this calculator for almost four years now and not once have I needed to change its battery. You may think that maybe I haven't used it much, but this calculator is used for about five days a week as I am currently studying Advanced Higher Maths.

This calculator also includes a lid which you can easily slide on and off protecting the buttons and screen very effectively. As a school student, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a scientific calculator. Whether you need it for simple sums or working out a logarithmic function, this is definitely the option to go with.

Philips HP6481 Satinelle Ice T Bar Epilator with Soothing Ice Pack
Philips HP6481 Satinelle Ice T Bar Epilator with Soothing Ice Pack

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising, 4 Jan. 2011
This is the first epilator I have ever bought and I am pleasantly surprised with the results.
Although the process stings a bit, the massaging vibrating feature at the back is effective and soothing, especially if you have sensitive skin. The product itself is small and compact and fits very neatly in the little carry bag provided. The head is easy to remove for maintenance and it's easy to grip.
Although it's slightly painful to use on certain areas (notably near the bone e.g. around your ankle), there's two different speed settings providing perhaps a bit more comfort when needed.
The prize feature of this particular product has got to be the provided ice pack. The idea is the cold pack soothes the skin in preparation for the epilation. The holder is substantial, meaning it's got the guarantee of lasting a good while.

From my experience of using this product, I see that the time scale is similar to waxing but with less of the pain (in my experience). You can go at any speed you would like, other than the large quantity of hair removal at once you experience with waxing.
I have used this product four times now, and it's true (for me) that each time it gets easier and less irritating. My advise is to epilate the night before as the skin does go red and to prevent ingrown hairs, the glove is recommended.

My only complaint with the product is the uncomfortable removal and the price, but as it removes smaller hairs than waxing and lasts longer than shaving, it's just the price I have to pay.
