5.0 out of 5 stars Superb intro to how PEAR can make your life easier, 22 Feb 2005
Nobody had taken time to review this yet? I'm surprised, this book is superb.
Giving a great introduction & tutorial on the better PEAR modules this book excels in its given task. PEAR (if your not aware) is the PHP equivalent of Perls CPAN and in its short life so far is building into an extemely high quality repository.
If your a PHP developer who is not currently using PEAR, but this book, if your a developer who is already using PEAR but was finding little documentation (like me)...buy this book!
You won't regret it, honest!

1.0 out of 5 stars Probably the worst..., 19 May 2003
...book I've attempted to read in a long time.
A parody should be funny, witty and clever. This book lacks points 1,2 and 3.
I did try, but like another reviewer I got stuck/fed-up about a quarter of the way through.
I know I should really finish a book before reviewing, and if I do and change my mind I'll re post...but somehow I can't imagine it.
Truly awful.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great intermediate book, 14 Oct 2001
Not an absolute beginners book by any means but with a fair understanding of Perl this book helps you learn line by line using 'real world' CGI programs.
Thought it was great and look forward to the next from the author(s)...

4.0 out of 5 stars A superb learning resource, 16 Jun 2000
This review is from: JavaScript Bible (Paperback)
I found this book invaluble as a resource for learning javascript.
I used it in conjunction with nick heinle's designing with javascript. Together they're a great combination. jfp

5.0 out of 5 stars beginers delight, 17 Nov 1999
This review is from: HTML Complete (Paperback)
Well this is most unlike me to sit here and type a review, but then again this is most unlike other HTML books. (the ones I have read in the past anyway) Its clear, concise and describes a great overview of thing all things web.
If your starting out, or even an improver, buy this book.
