Spearmark Hello Kitty Clip On Bed Light
Spearmark Hello Kitty Clip On Bed Light
Offered by Mum, Dad and Baby
Price: £14.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Hello China, must do better, 30 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This light, or 2 of, in my case, was NOT up to the standard required. It had a "Made in China" legend, and so the fault is from there as well as poor quality control by the English importers Spearmark Ltd. After inserting three new AA batteries in each light, neither light would work. Both my granddaughters were very disappointed on Christmas Day. However I have managed to diagnose the lack of a circuit within both of the lights. The third battery connection at the + end had about a 0.5mm gap, hence no circuit. This problem must originate in China, but again QC should be made aware of this in Spearmark Ltd England. I solved the problem without using leverage which could have damaged the body of the units, by inserting a small amount of domestic aluminium foil between the battery + terminal and its contact in the fitting. Now both units work, and my grandaughters will be happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Coal Bunker, 21 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The bunker was delivered promptly, and is being used to store the coal which we have at present. We are concerned that future deliveries of coal may be difficult due to the volume of the bunker, but its a fine fixture in our garden.

5.0 out of 5 stars A modern book on the years the Romans ruled Britain, 18 Sep 2013

This is a great modern book on Roman Britain. There is bags of up to date detail, and Guy doesn't shirk the areas where there is little or no info.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Tale of the Great fire of London, 2 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This story showed the bias against female apothecaries, and was also a moving and revealing account of life contemporary with the great Fire of London, in the city itself and surrounding areas previously affected by the Plague.

4.0 out of 5 stars ww II as seen from a german village, 24 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Crossing the Waters (Paperback)
This book is a woman's story of village life in Silesia, now in Poland, from before WWII until she left under UNRRA to work in England.
This lady suffered from some Russian soldiers, yet managed to build a career in nursing and teaching, once she settled in the Manchester area.
As I am living nearby , I just could not put the book down.

The Lords Of Avaris
The Lords Of Avaris
by David Rohl
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Test of Time Volume III, 5 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Lords Of Avaris (Hardcover)
This book is listed as Vol 3 of the Test of Time series, and so its new, not a rework. It describes the application of the New Chronology to Greek and early Roman history, based on the revised date for the Trojan War. Again the New Chronology cuts a swathe through the cobbled up filling of time that did not take place. Its a long read but again things fall into their correct place in time.
