Been a fan of Matts work for quite a while now and he hasn't disappointed again.
Tortured is a great little novel and absolutely flies along at a great pace.
Really enjoyed the little nods to other books he has written in there.
Keep up the good work sir.

This review is from: Wasting Stamps (Kindle Edition)
I have read most of Matt Shaw's books now and have finally got round to reading Wasting Stamps.
What an entertaining short read with some genuine laugh out loud moments, the pizza box had me in bits.
Completely different to Matts other books, but a fantastic read.
And at less than a pound, what more could you want?

And also, Matt is very funny on his Facebook page as well , and regularly replies to any comments/queries.
Top man.

3.0 out of 5 stars Smile, 5 Dec. 2012

I'd read a few of Matt Shaw's books before Smile , so was looking forward to this as it seems to be the Authors favourite ( or at least one of them ).
Although I enjoyed the book ( I pretty much read it in one sitting ) , it didnt blow me away as much as I had expected it to.
For me it took too long to really kick into life , and I found myself not caring too much about the characters as we plodded along waiting for something to happen. When it did 'start ' it was gripping and flew along , I just wish it could have started earlier and more happened.
This is just a personal thing though obviously.
I will say though , fair play to the author Matt , who took the time to reply to me on Facebook with a query I had about the book whilst I was reading it. Top work sir

Overall, an enjoyable book , but could have been better hence the three stars.
