This able defines that Crowdie sound, 30 Nov. 1999
This album is surely the most insightful, heart-wrenching and heart warming record that Crowded House ever released. From the hypnotic opener 'Kara, Kara' through the mellow musings of 'Distant Sun' right into the darkness of 'Fingers of Love' this able oozes quality, and plenty of it. Neil Finn's voice carries a real emotional clarity and resonance to it. The musical interplay between the members lights up the album and surely Paul Hester is one of the greatest drummers that ever picked up sticks. This is the work of a genius and should be heard by every person on the planet. Miss is at your peril...you are likely to be a worse person for it!
