5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Yet, 31 Aug. 2006
This review is from: Supremacy (Audio CD)
"Supremacy" is the third release from underground metal band "Hatebreed".

Much better then their previous release. "Supremacy" has shown how the band has grown over time.

"To The Threshold" was a good choice to make a video for. The song is one of the best on the album. The video just made the song better, and puts a story to it.

(if you watch the video to "To The Threshold" you will know what I mean)

With song titles like "Defeatist" and "Destroy Everything" you know this is not an album for the weak hearted. Hatebreed have come back with plenty of anger in their songs making each one unique in their own way.

Jamey's voice is really something on this album. He has developed with time and comeback with the raging vocals all of their fans have grown used to and loved over the years.

The guitars and drums are some of the best I have heard. They are very talented musicians. With putting the screaming guitars and the heavy beats of the drums together with the harsh vocals, and you have one hell of a metal album.

Go and get this album.

If you're a fan of this band you will not regret adding this to your CD collection. Some really impressive music on that CD. Or if you have never heard of Hatebreed before and have just come across them, still get this album, hear Hatebreed at their best then buy their previous albums, there are some real gems on them too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Within Temptation, 12 July 2006
This review is from: The Silent Force (Audio CD)
I first heard of Within Temptation when their video "Stand My Ground" was played on TV. At first I thought that they were copying Evanescence, but I decided to go and buy the album, which I am glad I did in the end. There are some really good songs on the CD, these being "Jillian", "It's the Fear" and "Angels". There were a few weaker songs on the album, just like most music has their downside, but if future releases go ahead, I have every faith in them that they will improve.

Sharon Den Adel's voice is amazing, and with the aid of the musicians, it is made that little bit better.

If you get this album, I can tell you, that you will love it, defiantly some gems on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 12 July 2006
This review is from: Now, Diabolical (Audio CD)
"Now Diabolical" is the new release form black metal duo Satyricon. This is defiantly their strongest album. "Now Diabolical" is the perfect opener to the album. It has a catchy start and you will be hooked from that track onwards. In all eight songs, I couldn't find an error in any. KING is the new single, and a perfect choice at that, just like the opening song, you will find it hard to switch your CD player off. Unlike most black metal songs, Satyricon's lyrics are clear, not shouted down the mic all at once, you can actually understand what is being sung without having to have the lyrics in front of you, this means that you will be singing along, and because the songs are catchy, will have them in your head all day.

Im not joking when I say this, but listening to this will make you want to look at their back catalogue of releases. I done that, and saw how they have progressed from their earlier releases, and not to mention coming across some pure diamonds while doing so.

If you buy this album, I can promise you that you will not regret it, defiantly one of the best purchases ive made in 2006.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nickelback --- Defiantly the right reasons, 11 July 2006
This review is from: All The Right Reasons (Audio CD)
"All The Right Reasons". Is another album from Nickelback.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of this band after the constant playing of their single "How You Remind Me" but this album compensated very well. They sure have changed since their earlier days.

The highlights of this album are: "Saving Me", defiantly a good track. The guitar and vocals are impressive, not a hard rock song but one of the slower tracks on the album, and "Far Away" this has to be the slowest song on the album, but in no way is it weak. Again the guitar is really good and Chad Kroeger's voice is equally impressive.

This band is not all about putting hard rock music out. This album has the harder tracks and the softer ones that will appeal to your musical tastes.

"Side Of A Bullet" is a tribute song to guitarist Dimebag Darrell. The lyrics really do match up to the tragic event well. They did an amazing job, defiantly one of my personal favourites.

This album is defiantly not a disappointment. I for one am glad I came across this band again as it is, in my opinion, their best album so far and I have every faith in them that they will continue to release great music like the songs on this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars 36 Crazyfists - Rest Inside The Flames, 10 July 2006
This review is from: Rest Inside the Flames (Audio CD)
"Rest Inside The Flames" is yet another amazing album by 36 Crazyfists.

The band continue with the hard rock performances, which won them fans from all over the world and has no doubt gained them many more loyal followers.

The album starts with the first single "I'll Go Until My Heart Stops" This track will have you gripped. Defiantly the best track to choose as a first single, it features some powerful music and amazing vocals, if you heard this song and liked it, there are more treasures on the album and that is a promise.

Brock Lindow's voice is stunning in this album, from shouting vocals in the first single "I'll Go Until My Heart Stops" and "The Great Descent" to the softer lyrics of "The City Ignites" and "On Any Given Night" in which the guitars, bass and drumming are strong and the lyrics are slower.

They are 1st class musicians, screaming guitar, heart pounding drumming and some ground shaking bass not to mention the way Brock can stretch to so many different vocal ranges.

This album does not disappoint, it goes to show that this band is capable of many talents and they can only improve on their skills from here.
