5.0 out of 5 stars professional reviews, 14 Jan 2013
The TP-Link TL-WDR4300 is a dual band router that provides 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi concurrently. It also has four Gigabit Ethernet ports as well as two USB ports to which USB drives and printers can be attached. It uses external antenna, which makes it stand out in a living room or office.

The TL-WDR4300 has a quick setup wizard that makes configuring it a simple process. Its web interface is quick to navigate and load and has all the options most people need from their router, including Dynamic DNS, port forwarding and parental control.

We then connected to it on the 2.4GHz band using TP-Link's TL-WDN3200 Wi-Fi dongle (19, www.amazon.co.uk) and achieved the phenomenal transfer rate of 107.8Mbit/s at one metre and the unremarkable rate of 35Mbit/s at 10 metres. It wouldn't even connect at 25 metres.

When connected to the TL-WDR4300 on the 5GHz band using our laptop's built-in Wi-Fi adaptor, we achieved data transfer rates of 78.8Mbit/s at one metre, 83.9Mbit/s at 10 metres and 35.5Mbit/s at 25 metres. The first two rates are average scores, but the transfer rate at 25 metres is very good.

When using the TL-WDN3200 Wi-Fi dongle on the 5GHz band, we achieved transfer rates of 139.8Mbit/s at one metre and 126.4Mbit/s at 10 metres. Once again, it failed to connect at 25 metres. The former rates are fast, but the lack of connection at 25 metres isn't good enough.

The TL-WDR4300 has a built-in media server that makes watching and listening to media on attached USB drives easy. We played 720p video fine at 25 metres with our laptop's built-in Wi-Fi adaptor on the 2.4GHz band, but 1080p videos were constantly jerky, making them unwatchable.

5.0 out of 5 stars actual performance is better than TL-WR1043ND, 12 Dec 2012
The data transfer speed is actually higher than TL-WR1043ND. give it a try and u will love it.
though it has two antennas, the wifi signal is not worse than the normal 3-antennas at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars good stuff with UK 3-pin plug, 25 Sep 2012
dont be mislead by the 1 star review. now it is supplied with UK 3-pin plugs.

it's designed based on the top seller TL-PA211, which is the best selling powerline in UK. you'll love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is Chinese version, 25 Sep 2012
This is the same as http://www.amazon.co.uk/Link-TL-WR702N-150Mbps-Wireless-Router/dp/B006PYGWG6/ref=pd_sim_sbs_ce_1

but it's Chinese version. do you want a Chinese or Japanese interface router? if not, i don't advise this. try the blue one.

5.0 out of 5 stars better than the edimax one, 5 July 2012
i used to have the edimax nano usb adapter. it's not too bad actually. but the issue is that if i use it for long during the day, especially in summer, it becomes very hot and eventually the network speed turns down very sharply. i bought it from kikatek, good service and fast delivery.

5.0 out of 5 stars better than 211kit, 4 July 2012
I hesitated whether to spend several more pounds on the new 411kit, after seeing so great reviews on pa211kit. finally i decided to give a try, and indeed it didnt let me know. it seems a bit faster and more important it's so easy to set up. i used it to connect my sky box to the internet. i would definitely recommend it to more people.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected, 3 Oct 2011
The reviews on amazon dont look so positive. But I've seen some recommended pages from expert reviews and Web User. Looking at the price, i decided to give it a try. It's much better than expected.

With a distance of 10m, it still provides steady and quite strong signal. And it's easy to use, with a QSS button (TP-link named it for WPS).

Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfull AP, 3 Oct 2011
The wireless AP was easy to setup using the web interface. The various operation modes such as "Repeater" or "Bridge with AP" allow for a lot of flexibility. A survey feature displays info on nearby wireless networks including their channel and strength.
Good signal.
Decent real world connection speed. POE and adapter included. Good price. So far it has been a steal!
