5.0 out of 5 stars works well!, 29 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I set this up on an old TV with a freeview scart tuner plugged in. It was postioned on a bedroom wall but still facing through a couple of rooms towards the main transmission ariel. It seems to work fine with all the freeviw channels looking good. I guess the internal amplifier helps to generate a healthy signal for the tuner. I am based in west london so not sure what it would be like anywhere else in the country and further away from your local TV antenna.

5.0 out of 5 stars A useful size packaging for DVD's, 29 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I send of lots of DVD's in individual plastic clamshell plastic cases and these packets are perfect for one DVD in a clamshell. Just remeber that any more than one DVD or CD and it won't fit and they are no good for standard plastic CD jewel cases. get the size right and they are very convenient.

5.0 out of 5 stars astonishing!, 15 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What can I say! I'm playing this little beast plugged into a Marshall 1912 cab and its a monster! very nice heavy rock voice and very loud for its size, it might just be possible to use in a rehearsal with a quiet drummer! good for recording and with the gain down and volume up it's cleanish....but much happier roaring at full tilt. I can wholeheartedly reccomend this thing! try it out, for the money you wont be disapointed!

A very nice understated watch, the face is easy to read and has a simple elegance about it, the face is quite large which suits me and looks good with both a suit and casual clothes. A nice additon to my watch collection!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good read, 19 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I can recommend this first novel to anyone who enjoys those slightly left of field fantasy books. I am not a great fan of a lot of the standard fantasy genre but in his first novel, O'Malley has succeeded in creating a shadowy government related ministry, that runs alongside normal government and society but which is dedicated to fighting off and protecting ordinary citizens from agents of the paranormal and the supernatural, a sort of paranormal MI5.
He has created a strangely believable world of hidden labyrinthine bureaucracy and episodic, violent attacks wielded by bizarre and weird forces and characters, it make you re-think any preconceptions you might have about Belgium. There is a lot of humour, which make the characters all the more endearing and the plot has a page turning quality where you find yourself eagerly looking forward to seeing how the heroine will fight her way out of the next challenge, whether it's the internal politics of this secret society or fighting, `hand to brain' a mind numbing killer fungus in Bristol. Well worth a read!

4.0 out of 5 stars good value, 21 Jun. 2012
I have the 667GL version of the Lilliput and used it on a daylong shoot two days ago for the first time. It's a very very useful low cost addition to the DSLR video shooters arsenal. I have it rigged onto one of my tripod arms and it has been really useful to frame up and check critical focus. I am shooting with a panasonic GH2 and it is so much easier than using the camera LCD I can recommend it. My only niggle is that on start up, it defaults colour stauration to zero and you have to keep resetting it... but that might be me not reading the instructions carefuly enough! I wouldn't rely on it for really accurate colour temp checking, but it had worked well enough when checking the rushes later on a large pro monitor.

4.0 out of 5 stars a good quality hard drive, 10 Oct. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A good replacement and upgrade for my macbook, it was easy to install and is a quality upgrade for a mac. I'm told it is off higher quality than the drives that Apple use. The only negative was the packaging and delivery, the package was badly crushed and covered in mud and delivered by a very bad tempered individual who pushed the doorbell and instantly walked away, it was only becuase I could hear him cursing that I looked out and caught him before he drove away!
I would have given it five stars... apart from the dire packaging and delivery

1.0 out of 5 stars A poor shadow of the real Bourne, 13 July 2011
I feel there is the smell of tills ringing with the way these Bourne books are desigend and sold/marketed. The original Bourne books by Ludlum were crisp, fast paced, technically interesting and dragged you along for the ride. I saw this on the bookstall at the airport and bought it on the basis that it was another Ludlum Bourne novel and was looking forward to a good holiday read. What I got was a 'con-job' with the Bourne brand taken over by an Eric Lustbader, the story is flabby and unconvincing, the behaviour of the motely crew of spies and spooks is laughable with little authenticity of the original. I really felt like giving up after yet another laboured plot twist and betryal that was unexplained and seemingly little to do with the plot context. I would reccomend you stay clear of this and lets just hope that a better Ludlum ghost writer comes along who can do a better job than Mr Lustbader!

5.0 out of 5 stars does the job, 27 Feb. 2011

I found this dolley to be cheap and more importantly it works. Obviously this is not a rail/track based system and you need a reasonably flat floor to use it on....but I have used it with a lightweight DSLR and it was fine. The secret is to hang some weights onto the tripod and that gives it more mass and makes movement smoother. It also makes for quick changes of set-up while filming.. from one shot to another. Just don't expect it to be a high level item, for the money I'd say why not buy it and carry it in the back of the car for shoots, you will end up using it although to some extent it depends on the kind of filming you do. A final tip, use a heavy tripod not a lightweight one!
