Out of the frying pan, into the fire., 3 Oct 2010
Stefan's journey is a fascinating one. He is a brave man venturing into war zones where food and resources are scarce. He admits his fears along the journey which made me warm to the author.
The chapter on bushmeat in Cameroon was highly informative. The local people are ex-forest dwellers who prize the meat from chimps, gorillas and other simians. He describes well the conflicts around whim which are sometimes exacerbated by the simple act of cooking food in villages or refugee camps where people have not eaten for days.
I now intend to download the accompanying tv series.
