1.0 out of 5 stars My brother-in-law said DAB was rubbish......., 19 Dec 2011
I rate Panasonic highly but this product was a great disappointment. Out of the box, there was no DAB reception and FM was far worse than 4 other radios in the house even after spending 2 hours trying to get a signal with the T-shaped wire aerial . I spoke to Panasonic who where as usual very helpful and suggested trying a replacement as the lack of a good FM signal was suggestive of a sub-standard receiver.. Amazon replaced the unit next day and whilst FM improved on the replacement, DAB was still non-existent. I purchased a DAB aerial and although this did initially pick up a DAB signal it was hissy and inclined to drop out at odd times - and the range of channels was very low. After a couple of days I concluded that this was never going to justify spending 180-odd on so returned both items without quibble. Excellent service from Amazon but the first Panasonic piece of electronics that was not up to standard as noted by other reviewers.

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit too serious, 23 Nov 2000
This review is from: Boiling A Frog (Paperback)
Having bought, enjoyed and passed all his books on like an evangelist, I have waited what seems like years for the paperback edtion of Boiling a Frog. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement, because whilst being a fully paid up aetheist, this book just seemed to be a rant about the catholics with a bit of politics thrown in for good measure. Nowhere near as funny as One Fine Day..and just a bit too serious for my tastes. Have to wait for the next one now.
