5.0 out of 5 stars Madina Maddness Once Again, 28 Aug 2009
I'll admit im not the biggest madina lake fan however, this single release by those boys is one cracking tune!
Since first hearing it it remains in my head as one of those songs you just have to get up and dance around and let it all out. The boys hve done a great job on the new album and this track is one of the best on the album. Good job boys!

If Today Was Your Last Day
If Today Was Your Last Day
Price: £0.99

5.0 out of 5 stars If today was your last day, 15 July 2009
Another fantastic slower song by rockers nickelback, the band goes from strength to strength with each song and this track is easy to relate to and makes the listener take time out of whatever they are doing and stop and think about their life and how they would spend their last day if today was the day.

The song is one to stick in the memory of any listener and like i said, one of the best on the album Dark Horse. Having seeing the band live countless times, i can speak truly and say the abnd know what good music is, they know how to wright lyrics and music and this song is a prime example of outstanding talent from the canandian boys!

Youll love it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Slipknot - back with a bang!, 15 July 2009
This review is from: Sulfur (MP3 Download)
Off slipknots newest released album All Hope Is Gone, this track is one of my faves! It is loud fast and just awesome! Corey Taylors voice is fantastic, the entire style of the song is in ways developed and influenced on previous tracks on earlier alums. One thing most noted from this song is Joeys drumming! its phnemonal! The song proves that slipknot are not just a band that "scream" but produce great music and can change song style and do it well!

5.0 out of 5 stars Black Stone Cherry, 15 July 2009
Tracks taken off the newest album folklore and superstition, the song is a slower track compared to the rest of the album but by far is better than some of the others! The song hits hard and can really be related to by its listeners and the band have done themselves proud in producing, writing and performing this track live everytime they perform.
Its a great track off the album, definatly a five out of five and if you get the chance to see the kentucky boys live - get your ticket and go see them! - you wont be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Parlor Mob - And You Were a Crow - 5 STAR REVIEW!, 11 April 2009
This review is from: And You Were A Crow (Audio CD)
The Parlor Mob are a fantastic new band currently emerging onto the rock and roll scene. the music the band writes has its classic rock influences but also has a modern style kick to it which makes its appealing to any rock fan.
Being the first album from the band the tracks are well collaborated to result in a great first release.
Personally speaking the best tracks are 'everything your breathing for', Tide of Tears and the new single Hard Times.
Overall the album is very catchy and has great rock n roll riffs, Its a must for any rock n roll fan!

Shogun

5.0 out of 5 stars Triviums - Shogun, 13 Oct 2008
This review is from: Shogun (Audio CD)
Shogun is Triviums fourth album and is probably the bands most powerful and well structured release.

The tracks on Shogun have the screaming vocal quality that was present in the likes of Ascendancy except there is alot more aggression added this time around. However is it also good to note that they have kept their clear sounding melodic vocals aswell.
The playing on the album is impressive, although i would have loved there to have been a few more guitar solos written in.

The two tracks wchih i think stand out most on Shogun are Into the Mouth of Hell we March and Down From The Sky, which also happens to be the first single release off the album. Both tracks have powerful riffs and great lyrics!

In my opinion Shogun is more similar to the earlier release of Ascendancy, rather than the Crusade (both of these albums are fantastic aswell). You can clearly see a line of steady progesssion throughout the albums right until the very end of this current fourth release.

One can 100% say that if you liked Ascendany and Ember to Inferno then this album is a must buy!

5/5 by far!!

5.0 out of 5 stars could this be the best album of 2008?, 6 Sep 2008
Folklore and superstition being the second release from rockers black stone cherry. this album is a slightly different approach to the first album but its definatly an outstanding album. The lyrics of each song are composed to perfection and the music comes together smoothly.
the songs that stick out the most to my mind are blind man, please come in and things my father said. Each have their individulaity, for exmaple blind man has some great guitar riffs and the song things my father said is a heart felt song, the feelings for the singer are felt through the entire song and the song as a whole song really touches you when you listen to it.
This album is amust buy for any rock fan, especially those into soundgarden and the likes of the allman brothers!

an album not to be missed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Airbourne - bringing back true rock n roll, 19 Feb 2008
This review is from: Runnin Wild (Audio CD)
Airbourne, a band currently being classfied as the newer version of ACDC. and quite rightly so. They been together for a number of years now and since those aussie boys got signed to roadrunner they have taken the UK by storm with sell gigs in many venues (i lucky enough to see them twice was amazed at both performances) the stage presecene is fantastic and interaaction with crowd is surely there.

The album running wild itself is high class. Greatly composed set of songs with fantastic true rock n roll riffs. not only do the older fans who grew up to the likes of acdc love it but also the younger genreation of today love it too. with catchy guitar riffs from stand up for rock n roll to the old school style song of too much too young too fast, this cd is a must for any rock n roll fan.

recommend this album to anyone, even jsut a slight interest to rock n roll its a must. Airbourne are looking to be one of the biggest bands of this year.

enjoy.
