A truly excellent game - played our first game on saturday night, and our dinner guests where howling with laughter.
as other posters have said, not for the prudish out there, and definitely better after a few beers. Debating whether or not to take it up for the wife's family xmas.

2.0 out of 5 stars Shame - could have been a lot better., 4 Nov 2013

As a massive rugby fan, I had a incredibly high hopes for this film, and its extras. Unfortunately Lions Raw does not come close to the heights achieved in previous films about the Lions. While parts of it are exceptionally good and interesting, including the team talks pre match, and at half time, the major talking points of the tour are completely brushed over.

The Good:

Pre match speeches
Half time speeches
Andy Farrell's speeches
Zebo's clip from the trailer in full
Photo montage at the end

The Bad:
Only a brief insight into selection before the tour had begun - there is no further footage of selection meetings at all throughout the rest of the dvd.
No after match analysis/discussion of performance.
Very few players get any time at all to shine - perhaps it was a dull tour?
Nothing about the omission of Brian O'driscoll from the final test squad, except a lingering shot of his face as the selection is read out. Given the scandal this created, I expected to at least see the debate about it - perhaps it was deemed too incendiary to have on the DVD?
Nothing with Neil Jenkins at all - he hardly appears
The film ends at the end of the third test - nothing is shown about the aftermath or the celebrations/journey home.

All in all I found myself bored in parts - if you saw the hour long preview on Sky Sports, you will not find too much more in the full film - there is quite a bit of filler. It certainly felt like a lot had been left on the cutting room floor. The extras are interesting, but disjointed, and overall I felt that something was missing, and that perhaps this has been rushed out as a marketing ploy with a fuller package to come at a later date. I hope not, as I will likely be suckered into buying that as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars You would never believe these recipes are not gluten free/vegan!!, 10 May 2013
This book is essential reading for all of the vegans and Ceoliac/wheat free people out there, and for those of us lucky to be able to eat all of that stuff as well!

The book is a triumph over the limitations imposed on baking by having to use flour, eggs and milk. The fact that there are over 40 recipes in the book speaks volumes - I have only experimented with a couple so far, only having just got the book, but personal favorites of mine include the Peanut Butter Snap - one of the most simple recipes in the book, and the "veganized" Jaffa cake Recipe. I never ever thought I would ever find gluten AND dairy free jaffa cakes! The recipes are clear, concise and easy to follow, with lots of pictures - nice to see such a bright colorful book. If anyone has any doubt about buying the book, I can highly recommend a visit to Ms Cupcake's Shop in Brixton - a trip to cake heaven for regular people like me, essential for vegans with a sweet toothe!
