HERCULES STANDS DUO ALTO/TENOR SAX STAND WITH 2 CLARINET/FLUTE PEGS AND 1 SOPRANO SAX PEG DS538B Saxophones Saxophone stands

Price: £49.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product but . . ., 16 Mar 2014

Why are both the sax supports the same size? Sax stands are all built for tenors and as every player knows, all sax stands for alto/tenor leave the alto loose and in danger of falling off. When you are providing a stand for three saxes and none of which would support a bari, it would make sense to provide one designed specifically for the alto.

That gripe aside, the product is excellent, very well made and possibly bomb proof. Colleagues are now investing in Hercules stands for their instruments.

I've struggled for years with theory and at last have come round to buying this volume of explanation which has been recommended to me on numerous occasions. I wish I had taken the advice sooner. Now I know all I need to know.

Russell Hobbs 15082-10 Illuminating Glass Kettle - Clear
Russell Hobbs 15082-10 Illuminating Glass Kettle - Clear

3.0 out of 5 stars Pot bellied kettle, 4 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A couple of minor dents internally to the base of the kettle which one assumes occurred during assembly. They don't seem to affect operation, it boils very quickly but it shouldn't have been allowed out of the factory. Cut off when it comes to the boil is a bit sluggish.

So overall, it is efficient when it comes to boiling water but I do think that Russell Hobbs could take some lessons in design from Sir Jonathan Paul "Jony" Ive.

You really do have "Nothing To Lose" by buying this volume of the Jack Reacher saga. As an English author, Lee Child has absorbed an American genre and beaten the local talent by a country mile.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally biased review., 24 April 2013

Wonderful but take the heading into consideration.

Some marvelous performances as to be expected even those that are less than great are still better than almost anything else from other players of that era or much later.

How else do you describe Ellingtonia that hasn't been issued on CD until now? Welcome back.

This is the reissue of the contents of the 1962 Album "All American In Jazz", along with the long unavailable "Midnight In Paris".

Wonderful music from the master.

I picked up my first Lee Child book in January. By the end of February I had read them all, 8000+ pages? Let that be a warning. They are a one sitting read. Unputdownable.

It may sound arcane to today's ears but everyone should know where the music they love came from. Wonderful stuff and superbly remastered.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 20 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: American Big Bands (Paperback)
Having bought this book through recommendation, I ended up being very disappointed. Most of the information is available via Wikipedia's Arts search engine and, in most cases gives far more information than this book. What's more, Wikipedia is free.

Admittedly, there are some Bandleaders who do not appear in Wikipedia and you also have to know who you are looking for but, having said that, it is, in my opinion, a far better resource than Dr. Lee's book.
