5.0 out of 5 stars cheesy pop goodness, 14 April 2014

This was downloaded for my mums birthday and I have a feeling she's going to love it. A great mix of older and new pop hits for everyone to enjoy. I have to admit though there is some cheese here but what do you expect?

Can someone tell me,is this film a remake or renamed movie called the collector? it sounds very familiar and if it is,its actually worth a watch very gory, maybe not the best story to be fair but for a friday night in front of the telly give it a go(if it is the movie the collector then its free to watch on love films on demand feature)

3.0 out of 5 stars Tread with caution, 14 Feb 2013
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
I think its safe to say this is a tad dissapointing but remember when AVP came out a few years ago there were 2 camps one hated others loved it. Even though it got average reviews (6 or 7 out of 10)i personally liked it yeah its not great but fun while it lasts,i think the same applies here if you can get it for a decent price then you should be fine, wait till £25 mark comes around then buy it otherwise you'll be dissapointed like the rest.

4.0 out of 5 stars Why All The Hating?, 3 Oct 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
First off i think its safe to say resident evil 4 was a huge leap forward in the series bringing over the shoulder aiming into the mix giving it a more action adventure feel whilst keeping the general tone from the previous 3 titles. When 5 came along it very much split fans into 2 camps,it was a love or hate game with a very stiff control layout and movement but with more gears of war style gameplay near the end,i personally liked the game it has its flaws but its safe to say all games do so this isnt a huge surprise. The story telling of 5 kept you hooked to the end and the boss fights were some of the best in the genre, but instead of survival horror it moved onto action horror although the limited ammo did hinder things a fair bit in later chapters. So with 4 being a series changer and 5 a mild dissapointment (to some) 6 is here and i think capcom have answered alot of the fans suggestions with a very good if not perfect Resident Evil game. For once we can move and shoot! i know to some this might seem minor but all too often in the resi series you were cornered by enemies firing randomly into them,The action controls such as dodge, hand to hand etc work well in the series and it feels like theres a genuine evolution in the gameplay over the last installment. Since the game cameout yesterday i cant comment much on the entire game, but so far im enjoying it,and at the end of the day isnt that what matters? To those who are swearing to take the game back for trade in money i say give it another few days or weeks then decide, yes it isnt resident evil 4 but we already have that great game, why try and do it again? Its a change of pace, but very much in a good way.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wheres the rest of the game?, 14 Feb 2012
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
I know this might be an obvious thing to say now,but why is the campaign soooo short? I rented this to see if it was worth the asking price and to be honest im tempted to ask blockbuster for a refund i had an idea the game was short but 4 hours, seriously? The install time for the disks is longer than the last mission and for something that has "HD features" to add seperatly i seem to have missed them with characters glitching through the enviroment items lacking detail close up and alot of pop in slow down and over all lag its shocking these bugs werent ironed out before release,or even now since its 3/4 months old. I didnt get to use multiplayer as the rental copy had the access code missing, but honestly i really wouldnt have bothered considering how poor the single player graphically and overall was. I know ive mentioned it but the HD part on consoles really is a joke,Bad Company 2 had alot more detail and variety in level design and was around twice as long, but it got slated for whatever reason i dnt know. Personally id say rent, and even at that 2 days should be enough. Very poor and i havent been more happy for not buying this "game" in a long time.

2.0 out of 5 stars for a "comedy" doesnt there have to be some comedy in it?, 8 Aug 2011
This review is from: Paul [DVD] (DVD)
This might sound like a bit of a harsh review, but im just being honest when im saying its not good as a comedy sci fi or anything else really,i cant remember the last time ive waited for 90mins to be over. I will say now i dont really like simon pegg or nick frost so this more than likely had something to do with me not liking paul, although the rest of the cast does have some really tallented stars it just didnt work and after about 20/30 mins i was bored not only that but i think the only time i laughed was a very brief section with jeffery tambor so it wasnt looking good from here. In all if your a pegg/frost fan you'll like it,if not i really wouldnt bother, there are better comedies and films in general out just now so if you can, watch them instead of being very bored for an hour n a half.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reviews too harsh?, 13 April 2011
This review is from: Wasting Light (Audio CD)
Is it just me or are some of the reviews for the new FF album pretty harsh? I wasnt expecting amazing things from the album after the quite scathing reviews from the bbc and kerrang but i guess this turned out to be a good thing as i was really surprised just how good the album is :) The Foos have been around for a good while now and to be honest the previous albums were good but getting a bit tired and quite out of date especially when it comes to music in a whole now, they always seemed to be just behind on what everyone wanted. On Wasting Light we have a band that go back to heavy roots with a strong grunge feel that sounds new and pretty refreshing compared to generic nu rock thats being churned out from alot of artists today. If you liked the energy and vibe from the first 2/3 albums then you'll be right at home here, fans of newer albums shouldnt be put off but might be surprised how heavy the boys are this time around. All in all if you want a solid rock album you wont get much better than this.
