I found it rather patronising, not what I wad hoping for, lots of repetition too. There are better books out there.

The only reason you'd recognise J K Rowling from this book compared with her Harry Potter series is by the sheer quality of the writing. This is a thought provoking adult book taking a bright light to parts of society which exist on the edges of most people's lives. I couldn't put it down and I still think about some of the characters, she made them real.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Geraldine Brrok's best novel, 16 May 2013

I found the book interesting in parts, but the characters seemed a little wooden and hard to believe in, not as good as her other books, People of the Book and my favourite Year of Wonders.

5.0 out of 5 stars really helpful little book, 17 April 2013

Rick Steeves really loves the cinque terre and it shoes. This is a guide book written with knowledge but also a real desire to share the best of this beautiful part of Italy. Lightweight and easy to slip into your bag, money well spent.
