4.0 out of 5 stars It works with lightning connection iPads/iphones, 15 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A sturdy and well-made USB keyboard* that comes with plethora of Arturia sounds that can be downloaded after purchase.
I bought this item to play the Arturia, GarageBand and Korg keyboard apps purchased from the iTunes Store...as playing from the screen is frustrating and wildly inaccurate.
The keyboard works without the need for an extra power source (you will need the Apple USB to Lightning cable).
Keys are obviously smaller and the majority of the keyboard is plastic but this does not detract from the quality solid feel of the product...I especially like the fact that I could manipulate the sounds in my Arturia apps by using the knobs and pads on the keyboard.
Bargain quality USB keyboard.
[*Newbies please note that you will need software to make sounds. There's are no preloaded sounds on the keyboard so it will have to be attached (always) to a computer or iPad/iPhone.]

2.0 out of 5 stars Only pay for 20% of this film., 15 Feb. 2015

This review is from: Lucy (Amazon Instant Video)
Besson had a pedigree for decent thoughtful action flicks in the 90's ( well Leon was REALLY good) but he has gone off the boil in recent years, so I was not expecting a mind blowing masterpiece. It turns out that Besson DID want to blow my mind instead of entertain me! What starts out as a decent paced Sci-fi/superhero actioner starts to lean heavily on its cod-science/fillosophy (spelling intended) as the minutes advance, peeling away the fun and leaving you with a film that almost seems like a pitch for Besson's new religion (or something?..sorry, I'd lost interest by the last act).
The positives? Well, Johansson is, as usual, great at inhabiting the lead character and makes Lucy believable (right up to the last 20 minutes); there is a strong central female protagonist; there are two great (ludicrous) set pieces set in a Taiwanese hotel room and on the streets of Paris.

My advice? Don't buy...wait to watch it on satellite/Prime/Netflix (delete as applicable). You can wait, trust me.

Brilliant goggles for the price. Everyone was impressed with them. Light plastic and adjustable strap. I used them for a Doc Brown costume. Delivery was also prompt.

Great power pop from a little recognised musician...touches of OkGo, Cars and ELO on the first track Runaway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Recently discovered gem!!!, 8 Oct. 2014

Never heard of Self? Never heard of Matt Mahaffey? Well Beck has...
Matt is a production, multi instrumental whizz who is often found in the liner notes of many a great modern alternative album (a bit like a Roger Manning Jr, Jason Falkner, et al).
This album collects together eps from earlier in Matt's career but you may have come to this after hearing his recent YouTube hit "Runaway". The tracks on this album aren't as immediate as the aforementioned tune but reward the listener with interesting twists and turns that swing from a manic Beck (like the outro to Devil's Haircut) to sub Weezer to work that wouldn't be out of place on a Failure album.
I love it!!?

5.0 out of 5 stars A long time ago..., 22 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Firstly, welcome back to Rob Thomas (creator) and the cast of VM. For the uninitiated out there Veronica Mars is one of the hidden gems of TV (caustic pop-culture references, multi-strand mysteries, exemplary acting and an overall self-awareness that is sadly lacking in recent TV) and if you haven't seen it buy the box sets now!!!
The movie has been well-publicised over the net thanks to its Kickstarter campaign and Warners decision to stream at the same time as releasing in cinemas...but this film stands up (media fuelled curiosity aside this film) on its own.
If you loved the series then I believe this is a done deal. If you are a Marshmellow virgin then there is still plenty to recommend this film.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pedal...solid build, 22 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Another fantastic pedal from the EH team...solid casing, reliable sound and interesting effects. I would question some of the manual's settings (not sure a cello has ever sounded like that) but for a "close to" twelve string emulator and some interesting manipulative guitar sounds I would recommend. Try it with an analogue keyboard too...

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work with new iPads, 20 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Tried this connected to my ipad with memory cards, USB from a DSLR, USB from a point and click digi and from my old Kodak camcorder. It worked with the camcorder only and intermittently. Accessed the German manufacturer's website and YouTube page but could still not get it to work.
Flimsy build too.
This has been returned and I'll now save up for the Apple version.

4.0 out of 5 stars They've removed the iRig crackle but it still plays at low volumes, 20 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
At last the interface to the new I-devices is here (with USB and old I-device cables also included) and straight out of the box it works (provided you follow the instructions and already have an Amplitube app installed on your device/pc/mac). Still not managed to get the free stuff promised (incl a Metal Amplitube for pc/mac) but have used with the free and purchased iTunes app and they have managed to eliminate the crackle from the old (basic) irig. I have DI'd into my MBox DAW and have found that the volume is a little low so have started to feed the out signal through an amp and then into the MBox. Good alternative to buying a plethora of pedals and certainly very mobile and cheaper...I am still not convinced that this can replace effects pedals just yet but I am definitely holding onto this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Divine Fits' most catchy tunes yet, 20 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First an admission...I LOVE Spoon, Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade so an additional single to the "Best Album of the last two years" (Divine Fits) was either going to mildly disappoint or receive a wildly critical enthusiastic response from me. I'm glad to say it was the latter. Fantastic riffs, cracking vocals from both singers and a simple beat that keeps the whole thing motoring along. If you like Spoon, etc that you will love these two tracks.
