Starmark Everlasting Bento Ball for Dogs, Small
Starmark Everlasting Bento Ball for Dogs, Small
Price: £4.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice if refills were cheaper, 13 Nov. 2013

My dog loves this and it keeps him happy and quiet, but it is far from everlasting... a couple of days before it is worn so low he loses interest. Also the general lack of availability of refills in the UK makes them expensive.

Good quality and design, does what it says it is for, and is one of my dogs favourites. Filling with water and freezing didn't appeal to my dog though, who normally likes frozen things, but not this... plus it made a mess when it quickly melted.

2.0 out of 5 stars They stink, 13 Nov. 2013

These were a cute idea, but firstly you only get three balls, not four as pictured, and secondly the rubber they are made of STINKS. I don't know why as normal Kong tennis balls do not smell that way. These were so bad though that we had to keep them outside the house submerged in water for days before the smell had gone enough to have them in the house, and even now they still leave a strong smell on your hands after touching them. They are smaller than normal tennis balls and do not squeak like usual kong tennis balls, but they seem good quality and a fun idea... if only they did not smell sooo bad!

3.0 out of 5 stars Design over quality, 13 Nov. 2013

This looked cute and well made, but the microfibre fleece was able to be pulled out in long threads by my puppy within minutes. It very soon became a mostly bald sheep with long green threads dangling from it, many of which detached completely.

Kong Snugga Wubba Interactive Soft Throw Fetch Dog Toys - Choice of Size and Colour (Large, Blue)

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect STRONG soft toy, 13 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This was my puppy's first toy and it has out lasted every other toy he has had... and he has had many. He is getting too big to play tug with it any more now, but for weeks playing tug with this was all he wanted to do and yet it did not get a single rip or tear. He still loves to chew it and no visible damage yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings, 13 Nov. 2013

On the one hand my puppy loved chewing these and they did seem to ease his need to chew during teething, however, the material gave under chewing very quickly. The soft ring broke in to lumps before day one was out and had to be chucked. The hard blue bone lasted much longer but still even this tough material became mangled at the ends and began flaking apart within a couple of weeks. Overall, good product, but don't expect it to last very long and never leave with your dog unattended.

This is a genius idea and it's clear what sounds like no more than a soft rush of air to human ears is a very exciting squeak for dogs. It's strong and well made / designed so it can stand up to regular satisfied chewing and squeaking.

1.0 out of 5 stars Total Rip Off, 4 Sept. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
1. These bubbles were not everlasting in any sense. They burst even more readily than normal bubbles and barely lasted long enough for my puppy to notice them.

2. They were extremely difficult to blow... the wand was tiny and it was like aiming your breath through the eye of a needle

3. The 'white residue' they create that they do warn you about does not wipe up easily... it was sticky like glue and ended up caked in my dogs fur and all over my clothes due to the excessive dripping from the wand.

I purchased this choosing to believe the positive rather than negative reviews, but if this product is ever okay I guess maybe they don't always get the 'mix' right perhaps. I assumed that other negative reviewers had been expecting too much. They were not. This product is total rubbish and hugely over priced. I would not purchase again and strongly urge and advise others not to waste their money or risk disappointment.

The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome

5.0 out of 5 stars Just one book... make it this one., 2 Feb. 2007
I have read lots of books on AS and reviewed many of them. What I am always warning is that in most cases any one book never gives a complete picture.

Tony Attwood's book though is about as complete a picture as you could get right now and is not only far superior to his first guide to the subject but to many others on the market.

If you read just one book on AS this should be it. It is easy to read, packed with information, and the author's respect and appreciation for people with Asperger's is evident on every page.

It's professional, it's factual, it's understanding, it's worth owning a copy.

3.0 out of 5 stars The books that change your life are not the ones that tell you how to live it., 2 Feb. 2007
If you are the sort of person who responds well to a rigourous, structured, self disciplined approach to things then you'll probably like this. Personally, I'm not that sort of person and I got tired just reading it.

The author says "THIS BOOK CAN HELP YOU CHANGE THE COURSE OF YOUR LIFE". What follows is a series of short tips and advice about everyday things and getting practice relating to others. It probably won't change your life.

It's a nice little book though with much that is positive and helpful to say and a very nice section on the science behind defining Aspergers which I found very interesting.
