4.0 out of 5 stars Good overview, 4 Jan. 2012
This is a good overview by one of the foremost medieval scholars. The knowledge that created this synopsis ensures it gives a good background to the Hundred Years War. I recommend it.

This review is from: The Medieval Siege (Paperback)
I enjoyed this well written and researched book. It covers quite a bit of Middle eastern crusading seiges as well as medieval European seiges. I particularly like the sections on differet techniques and equipment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Computerised gobledy gook, 4 Jan. 2012
This is a facsimile copy computer generated and the OCR copy does not do pictures. The strange medieval words and some names are not properly recognised so take some deciphering, if you can. Next time I will buy a genuine copy.

I have a library of rural naive furniture to which this is added. The content is not as eclectic as I would chose but adds to the range.

The Sushezi seems gimmicky but produces amazingly well formed sushi and no problem putting it in the dishwasher after the meal
Get a good recipe book to go with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A blast from the past, 14 Jan. 2011
Is photography more interesting as time passes? This is a view of America from the 70's taken with a large format camera so very high quality photographs. A foray into the USA as seen by Mr Shore; I found the photographs and book very enjoyable.

An unusual seasonal offering by Geraldine McCaughrean, beautifully illustrated with imaginative, stylised, watercolours by Heather Holland. Fun to read with children at Christmas.
