5.0 out of 5 stars Great look and feel which offers good value, 22 Dec. 2011
This item comes retail packaged and also screen protectors thrown in which is great. The silicone based cover slips over the phone very easily and fits great. The shiny black look and feel compliments the Experia Ray really well and all the slots are aligned correctly. Great little product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good as it gets for a car charger, 22 Dec. 2011
The price for this item is excellent. It comes with no retail packaging but is sent in Jiffy bag so adequately protected in transit. The goods work as described and it keeps the same Sony Ericsson look and feel, the logo also glows green. I am charging up through the car's 12V slot and getting approx 0.5% of the battery capacity charged per 1 minute journey time. So, great for top ups if you have short commutes, but if you do long commutes each day (3h or so) then you won't really need the mains charger, this will do the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bargain screwdriver set, 21 Jan. 2011
The case is very good quality. The range of screwdrivers presented is great for home DIY. They are also magnetic to help keep them fiddly screws in place! Very pleased with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good snug fit, 21 Jan. 2011
This item is very good quality leather, the fit for the ZX3 is snug. It also comes with a matching leather strap. I suppose a bonus would be a pocket for a spare battery and SD card but that isn't the end of the world. It does look good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy all around experience!!!, 21 Dec. 2010
Ordered this product on the Saturday 18th December 2010 and it arrived on Tuesday 21st December 2010 - yep 3 days over a weekend - brilliant. No sign of the Xmas chaos with this order.

The product was purchased to play MP3s from SD cards with my recently purchased Panasonic micro-hifi (SC-HC40DB) which has a USB port. Plugged it in and fired up the Panny and worked effortlessly.

Rare that you get such good compatibility. I would recommend this card reader.

Only caution, i haven't tried this with SDHC cards yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning picture quality and easy to use, 4 May 2009
I was a little apprehensive of some of the reviews for this bit of kit, a few moaned that it took ages to eject the disc, no decent audio output. This review will hopefully put things in perspective.

On unpacking i found the blu ray player very easy to set up but this really was mainly due to me having a Panasonic Viera plasma TV, like for like compatibility. I can't really comment on how it would fare with a different brand.

There is a delay when trying to eject the tray in order to insert a DVD but it took about 10-15 secs rather than the minute and a half as described in some reviews. However, the eject is a lot quicker when trying to get a loaded DVD out. Overall this is not a bugbear, i could only see this being a problem if it were a recordable DVD machine (which it is not) when you're in a hurry to record a programme you forgot about!

Another criticism that was laid ie. the sound output, this is only an issue if you don't have a decent surround sound set up with an audio/video receiver. If you have a receiver then the blu-ray player is equipped with digital optical output to give excellent output option.

The picture quality is superb, i purchased an award winning QED HDMI cable (shop around online and you'll find one for £35) and it works a treat. My plasma TV is 1080i but still the picture quality is superb, and anyway you apparantly can't tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p unless your flat panel TV is greater than 42 inch wide. It does improve the picture on standard DVDs, and the blu-ray format does bring to life the old films (see my review of "The Fog").

If you have a Panasonic dvd recorder bear in mind that the remotes will clash (ie. it will set off the machine playing when you don't want it) and you have to set an option on the blu ray so the blu-ray remote doesn't talk with the other player (straightforward to do - follow the instructions that come with the player).

Overall i am impressed with this purchase, cheers Amazon!

5.0 out of 5 stars The classic vengeful ghost story, 22 April 2009
This review is from: Fog [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
After owning this John Carpenter film on VHS cassette I thought it time to treat myself to the Blu Ray version now that I'm the proud owner of a great Panny BD player. The picture quality is great throughout and at times stunning - watch the beautiful California coastline shots when Stevie Wayne's driving to work and really quite remarkable for a film which is now 30 years old. I'm a bit biased in praise for this film because in my opinion this is John's best work (although the critics seem to be a lot milder with their praise). While his remake of the The Thing is gore heaven, this film is not but makes up for it in shocks and suspense on par with Halloween. Overall a mature classic enhanced beautifully by modern Blu-Ray technology, well done!
