5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Nail Gun, 20 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a top quality brand nail gun in my opinion.Superbly made, just the job as an addition to my tool set. This is so easy to set up and use.I have cracked on with some panel fencing and really made some progress, using this tool.Everything about this nail gun is robust. The functionality is good and more importantly the actual job itself is bang on.

One slight problem I experienced is that it is not cordless.I did need a long extension for my paneling job. This is something that Tacwise should look at.

All in all though a very professional piece of kit that I think will get a lot of use out of.

Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting Short Story, 19 July 2014
Lydia's family have owned the Christmas Tree farm for generations and, on the night of the storm, she reminisces about the first time she met the bride-to-be's mother, Sara, in Mexico.

Sara's family picked lemons for a living in an orchard and Lydia was there as an artist. Sara was pregnant with her daughter. As their friendship blossomed, they realised that they had far more in common than they realised.

I was captivated by this beautifully written sweet short story full of love, friendships, natural disaster, family and loyalty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Texan Ex-Pat Digs Up Murder and Mystery, 13 July 2014
Brought up on stories of England and its gardens by her English mother, Pru always felt that she belonged there and when her mother died she decided to up sticks and plant herself in England.

But a small job sorting out the unruly garden of the Wilsons digs up more than just roots! Pru's inquisitive and trusting nature leads her into danger as she tries to solve the murder of Mr Wilson's friend, an amateur archaeologist, despite the best efforts of the good-looking Detective Christopher Pearse to dissuade her.

Marty Wingate's obvious love of gardening shines through in this mystery. The plot was just at the right pace with believable characters and I found it easy to immerse myself in Pru's world.

With a storyline sure to delight gardening enthusiasts, you don't need to know your Hyacinths from your Hollyhocks to enjoy this cozy mystery. I certainly did!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pocket Accuracy, 13 July 2014
Theses are lovely scales. Very good design and they come with a little pouch, which prevents any scratches, a nice touch.
Accurate to 0.01g I use them daily to check any weights of my small packets and letters I send out. This saves any time at the post office as I can use the required postage on each item.
The scales are back lit and they come with batteries.
You can easily change from metric to imperial which ever is your choice.
I like them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful Pressure Washer, 13 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have given this power washer a right good workout.

It has more than proved its versatility.

Anyone looking at purchasing a good quality, powerful and robust power washer should really consider this from Nilfisk.

I will be honest and say I was not familiar with this brand. There are others more familiar, but this one is superb.

The Nilfisk is powerful with a 2kw motor delivering 130 bar pressure. It has an aluminium pump, which is the engine.Performance is a given.Light and powerful.

It comes with a 9 meter electric cable and a 9 meter pressure hose, which means you are not constantly having to move the unit around when pressure washing.I found this to be absolutely brilliant, and I could get the jobs done with very little fuss or stress.

It comes with a Tornado nozzle, which is good for general cleaning and rinsing down.A powerspeed nozzle, which is a super high pressure nozzle which I use for the patio. This is the nozzle I have used the most.It also comes with a foam bottle, which you can fill up with a cleaning fluid and use when cleaning the car. Brilliant!!!!

All the nozzles and attachments are quick coupling and easy to detach when necessary. The lance and the whole system fits together with a twist and lock.

The unit is fitted onto a chassis. You can easily wheel it around and it packs away superbly.

This is a great power washer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Above Average Thriller, 6 July 2014
Fatal Act is the sixth book in the Detective Inspector Geraldine Steel series and the third Leigh Russell book I've read ...... and I think this is the best of them.

When a TV soap star is killed in a car crash it seems like an accident at first but it then becomes clear that she was murdered. Her older lover is the main suspect, especially when another young actress who was known to him is also murdered.

For Geraldine work gave her life meaning and purpose and she has to juggle her personal life with her professional life to uncover how the killer managed to disappear from the crime scenes like the invisible man (or woman).

The storyline was well paced without being too exciting, it had a steady feel to it, a page turner nearing the end, strong characters and a good mystery all add up to an above average thriller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Cozy Mystery, 3 July 2014
Death in Perspective is a fun cozy mystery that I really loved reading. Cherry is funny and crazy and I warmed to her instantly.

She is employed as a set designer in a high school but, of course, nothing goes smoothly as Cherry is drawn into a world of blackmail, anonymous texting, a mysterious death, intrigue and twists and turns aplenty.

The plot was at a steady pace, easy to follow, lots of suspects, quirky characters, all adding up to a suspenseful mystery that I loved!

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Boy Stapler, 3 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This stapler is for grown ups and is not a toy.

It is a very well made heavy duty stapler with a power assist mechanism ideal for those bulky jobs.

I like the fact that you can use different sized staples for different jobs. This comes with 10mm staples so it can be used immediately for most daily jobs.

I took it into work with me and everyone wanted to use it!!!!! It has now been used for some bulky reports we put together.

It has a 5 year guarantee but I am sure it will last far far longer than this.

Great stapler from a good brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Read, 30 Jun 2014
A Sense of Entitlement is a delightfully entertaining read set in the 1890's with amateur sleuth and travelling secretary Hattie Davish who is a smart and practical young woman.

I found it very slow going at first but when it picked up I really enjoyed the story as Hattie digs into the world of the unions and social climbers in Rhode Island.

This is the third in the series and although some characters reappear in this book it still felt like a stand alone novel.

I was eagerly turning the pages to discover the killer's identity. This is the kind of mystery that I really enjoy, interesting characters, a clever and engaging heroine and a plot that's easy to follow.

I'll definitely be looking out for more Hattie Davish adventures to come in the future.
