5.0 out of 5 stars Solves a Problem, 3 Mar 2014
This is a nice gizmo that solves a very irritating, tedious problem I was having with a slow/loss of broadband signal.
I have experimented with the plug in models direct into an electrical socket and using an untidy Ethernet cable to improve my internet connection, both with limited results. And then I tried this little beauty. Bingo, problem solved.
It is so easy to install. It comes with a CD with drivers on it ( if you are running " old " windows )Even I as a non techy person was able to take the unit out of the packaging plug it into the usb via the cable and run. And I mean run.
It is well made too. Bolse is fast becoming my go to brand.
Excellent product at an affordable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Staple and Nail Gun, 3 Mar 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Review from hubby:
This is a real good nail gun.
As you would expect from Tacwise,it is superbly built, with the user in mind.
It is not too large and seems quite lightweight compared to a gun I have used previously.
I have knocked together a bird table that I have to say I am quite proud of.
The nail gun was very good and saved on the old hammer and nails.
I have not as yet done any tacking with the staples, but I am sure it would do the job just as well.
One small down side is the length of cable.
Overall a great nail gun from a good brand at a very good price at the moment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Travel Shaver, 3 Mar 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
For someone who travels quite a bit this shaver is basic but good.
It looks stylish in black and silver.
The two heads give a good enough shave without going over the top with a trimmer.
It is small and lightweight, ideal for slipping in a travel bag.
It comes with a two pin charger, which fits into the bottom of the shaver and into a standard shaver socket on the bathroom light fitting. It also has a brush for cleaning.
Overall this is a dam good little shaver at a really good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small unit. Big Delivery, 2 Mar 2014
This dongle is so easy to use, and delivers big results.
I use windows 7, and it worked perfectly from the drivers that are inbuilt. After plugging in the dongle it was good to go and paired very fast.
The dongle connects to my speaker across the room no problem and streams the music without any loss of quality.
I can transfer files from my desktop to my laptop which is really good.
This technology is not unique to Bolse, but the product is really good and easy to use.
I am becoming a big fan of this brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small, wicked usb car charger, 2 Mar 2014
This is a really useful usb car charger.
It is so functional and easy to use. Plug the unit into the cigar lighter socket and you are ready to go.
I use this all the time to charge my HTC Salsa phone though you do need your own USB cable as this does not come with one.
The unit sits nicely in the cigar lighter socket without it protruding out too much. It has a red light which indicates to you whether the unit is charging, which is useful.
I found that the unit fits into the cigar lighter socket very firmly and neatly with no hint about it falling out.
The look and certainly the feel of this unit gives a feeling of a lot of attention being given to the development of this product.
At the price on Amazon it is a bargain. Thoroughly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use. Great results, 2 Mar 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Plug it in. Turn on the grill, put the food on the grill and enjoy.
That is how easy this grill is to use.
It is better than the other grills I have had. It has the technology built in to cook the food how you like it.
In our house the four of us all like our steaks cooked differently. Well with this grill no problem. Each setting lets you cook to your individual taste. Everyone satisfied.
Burgers and chicken are a staple food here ( sad I know !!!!) and the grill is so good for these.
I love toasted sandwiches. They also are so good and easy to produce.
Cleaning the grill plates is a sinch as they remove very easy from the grill and can be hand washed.
The fat drains away during the cooking which is very good.
I really like this grill and would recommend it to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars sensational portable bluetooth speaker., 2 Mar 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This speaker comes from, in my opinion, the best brand in all things musically related.
This product is the very latest in Bluetooth speaker technology. The Bose quality gives this speaker the very highest quality.
I wont go on about how easy it is to use with any smart phone, tablet or other devices. That it is so easy to use is enough!!!
It is the most important feature that i should like to mention, the SOUND.
Sensational is a word that comes to mind.
Any genre sound is fantastic.
Deep rich tones emanate from this speaker that defies belief. The bass sound is so good, without the usual vibrations that you get with other brands of speaker.
I played Tchaikovsky 1812 to see the full range of sound. It was absolutely sensational.
My favourite was Pink Floyd, Dark side of the Moon. Wow!!!!!!
This speaker as well as Bluetooth will let you play using a jack plug, so you can use the speaker with a pc, etc.
The speaker has a very small footprint, so it sits on a table or desk without taking up much space.
It is typically Bose in its style. Completely understated.
Whilst this isn't the cheapest device by any means, it is I am sure, up there with the best for sound quality.
One word for this speaker....SENSATIONAL.

Higher Duty, A (Ben Schroeder)
Higher Duty, A (Ben Schroeder)
by Peter Murphy
Edition: Paperback
Price: £5.57

4.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing Insight into the Legal World, 19 Feb 2014
A Higher Duty is an absorbing insight into the world of Barristers, Lawyers, the Law and the games they play.

The story starts in December 1960 with a Rugby Club dinner at Cambridge University when, fuelled by alcohol, some of the students think it's a good idea to throw a young man into the icy cold river......unfortunately for them, and him, he drowns. Afterwards no-one is charged with his murder.

Fast forward to October 1962 and we're introduced to the principal characters, including Philip Dougherty husband to Anne who is being sued for divorce on the grounds of cruelty; the opposing Solicitors and Barristers who are going to represent them in court, along with other members of the Law Society who make up this intriguing novel.

I do enjoy a good courtroom drama and, while, most of the story takes place outside of the courtroom, it makes for fascinating reading.

In those days the law courts were dominated by white male University graduates but Peter Murphy introduces us to the Jewish Ben Schroeder and a woman (gasp) who are trying to break the conventional stereotypes, where they encounter prejudice and become entangled in an intrigue which could make or break their futures.

I enjoyed all the conspiring, manoeuvring and colluding between scheming Barristers.

This is the inside story of what goes on underneath those wigs, tight collars and cloaks and it's not always pretty.

Overall a compelling and entertaining read with an original storyline.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Apply, Good Coverage, 16 Feb 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
You only need a small amount of this and it goes a long way.
It is a creme foundation but when applied to your skin it feels strange, almost like a powder.
The colour is not too dark, I have fair skin and this is just about right for my skin colour.
It covers my skin evenly.
It doesn't feel dry and it lasts all day. Easy to wash off too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Delightfully Entertaining Read, 11 Feb 2014
This review is from: Once Upon a Timepiece (Paperback)
Once Upon A Timepiece is 176 pages of pure pleasure.

Each chapter is set in a different month of the year, starting in January when Conrad Sands attempts to return a wristwatch: a 1946 Breitling Chronomat made from rose-coloured gold: to his ex-girlfriend but things don't go according to plan and from then on the watch manages to belong to a different person each month.

Each story is unique, some are funny, some have little twists, some are thought-provoking, some are a little sad but all have moral questions. The chapters are only short, but Starr Wood manages to cram so much detail into them that the characters seemed so real. Excellent story-telling.

What I enjoyed most were the novel and unusual ways that the watch changed hands, from a mistake to a set up to an accident and so on.

A delightfully entertaining book.
