Thoroughly enjoyable reading. Keep up the great work Mr Scarrow. The only problem reading the eagle series is finishing the latest novel and having to wait for the next.

Once again a most enjoyable read. A very interesting ending. Is there going to be a new character series or a new friend to help spider out? Looking forward to future stories.

Another fantastic read from Simon Scarrow. I've read all the eagle series and still can't believe how good they are. Simon Scarrow just can't write books fast enough. The best Roman novels out there by far. Macro and Cato are brilliant characters. Keep up the great work Simon and for heaven's sake write faster please..........

If you had to sum this book up in one word, it would have to be ...excellent. Another great short story from one of the best novelists writing about the Roman era. Keep up the great Macro and Cato saga Mr Scarrow.

Thoroughly enjoyed this latest novel from Dan Brown. It's another story that gets your mind into another deep subject. Dan Brown certainly knows how to get the right subject matter for an intense page turning read. Would highly recommend to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another exceptional read by Mr Scarrow., 8 May 2013

The way that Simon Scarrow writes is very addictive. He is by far one of the best historical novelists to be publishing books at present. The story of Macro and Cato have been one of my favourites and these short stories of Macros younger days have not disappointed me at all. They keep getting better and Better

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great spider novel, 3 Jan. 2013

Just as good as all the other shepherd stories. I've not been disappointed with any Stephen leather books. He keeps the story flowing like a river. Very believable characters and stories that aren't too far away from reality.
