5.0 out of 5 stars I'm astonished!!!, 28 May 2007
Joss Whedon, the genius behind Firefly, doing X-Men? Sounds like a winning combination! And it so is! The story is believable and fun and the characters are spot on. Bringing the X-Men down to five members was a stroke of genius as it allows every character (including two of the students) a chance to shine and makes the story easier to follow. John Cassaday's artwork is superb as it is realistic and believable. He also has a fantastic talent for catching expressions, eliminating the need for all those stupid narrative thought bubbles that some comics have. All in all, this comic is astonishing!

5.0 out of 5 stars One word... WOW!, 23 May 2007
This cd is absolutely amazing! I'd never really heard much Muse before this but this is brilliant! Every single song is fantastic and they are all so different!

1. Take a Bow- a brilliant album opener that starts slow before building to a towering finale 9/10

2. Starlight- one of my absolute favourite! 10/10

3. Supermassive Black Hole- Not the best, but still not bad! 8/10

4. Map of the problematique- Love this one too. Really good 9/10

5. Soldiers poem- a bit too slow for me but still good 8/10

6. Invincible- up there with Starlight. Sheer genius! 10/10

7. Assassin- a real heavy but catchy rocker! 9/10

8. Exo Politics- Wow. Another great one! 9/10

9. City of Delusion- Wierd and wonderful! 9/10

10. Hoodoo- Downright wierd. But strangely beautiful... 8/10

11. Knights of Cydonia- Oh wow. My favourite song ever? Crazy, eccentric and oer the top!

5.0 out of 5 stars One Word: UNDERRATED, 21 Mar 2007
This movie has been very unjustly hated since it's release. People either love it or hate it. I love it. I t is absolutely superb. Rather than just try to remake the first two, Fincher has created an original story that is right up there with Alien and Aliens. It is incredibly dark and tense, and the alien itself is kept in the background while the story focuses on the human aspect ie, Ripley and the convicts. There are some great character moments, like when Ripley first asks Dillon to kill her. This is particularly due to the fantastic acting, which really helps the story along. So why did it get it's bad reputation? For a few reasons: the incredible darkness of the story put a lot of American audiences of, as well as the fact that most of the characters have British accents.

So basically this is a brilliant movie that was ruined by American audiences. You could do a lot worse in this lifetime than watch it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely brilliant, 13 Oct 2006
Space Precinct was only ever on when i was too young to understand it but recently i remembered it and decided to get one on dvd. I was not dissapointed! The show is just as good as i remember. The special effects are also very good for a t.v. show, especially in 1995.

Double Duty is a very dark episode in which Brogan and Haldane go after an assasin killing drug dealers in Demeter city. *****

Protect and Survive is lighter and more fun. Brogan and Haldane must protect a witness to a murder, who is the only person capable of putting a dangerous criminal behind bars. ****

Although it does not have many special feature, this dvd is definitely worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great sendoff for 8th Doctor!, 22 Aug 2006
I love Paul McGann's Doctor and this was an exciting and fitting swansong for one of my favourite Doctors. The story is littered with subplots and secrets you won't get until you read it again meaning that this is a book you can read again and again without getting tired of. The storyline is interesting and the reason for the Doctor's "Amnesia" is finally explained fully. Buy this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea But a Confusing story, 22 Aug 2006
This is the only First Doctor story I have seen or read and I loved it! It is a really interesting idea and the Doctor seems very dark and dangerous. The book has plenty of action but it starts to get very confusing about halfway through. You may have to read several bits again but eventually you will get it.

Definitely worth it.
