Mini Tripod with Ball Tilt Head, silver
Mini Tripod with Ball Tilt Head, silver
Offered by H.PRESTON MEDIA
Price: 4.00

1.0 out of 5 stars Metal ball doesn't grip!, 4 Jan 2012
The tripod is study enough to support my Nikon P500 but the ball grip isn't precise enough or strong enough to hold the camera where I would like. No matter how hard I try to tighten the screw! I've been trying to get it to stay in position for the past couple of days

The rest of the body appears solid, strong and sturdy and it screws in to the camera a treat. It's a shame that the ball grip and screw are poorly engineered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun!, 10 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The packaging made the Cup look bigger than expected, but it's still a nice size, magical, traditional, and well made. Amazon packed it very well in a big box with lots of bubble wrap.

The book is great with good instructions on performing a reading, and pictures of tea leaf symbols with clear and concise definitions.

I used this listing to buy the cup and saucer. I am confused as to why a reviewer has only received the book.

"I know you think you can't be caught,
but I'm on the hunt for what you've got.
Your scents so strong, and you're scorching hot, so I've hatched up a real good plot.
I've laid a trap that you can't see;
I'll jump your flame and set you free.
I'll set up camp and pitch my tent
and love you to your heart's content."

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasy art that brings out a wild and instinctive nature., 4 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Tarot of Vampyres (Cards)
These vampires are sensual and evocative, but there is something about them that calls out the instinctive and wild human being. The human being that can just 'be' rather than acting according to the rules of civilised society. It feels "naughty" (for want of a better word) because it's makes you feel free and natural. A feeling that might be mocked by other counterparts who are still being everything they "should". These cards are the very nature of fantasy, and there is something in Ian Daniels fantasy art cards that reminds us that underneath all the labels and roles there is a very evocative and instinctive human being and this perspective would indeed make for a very therapeutic Tarot reading. I can understand the previous reviewers experience with these cards.

The cards are standard sized with a vague Rider-Waite chassis. They feel very slightly stiffer and glossier compared to other Llewellyn published decks - like the Shadowscapes and Legacy of the Divine. It comes with a paperback back which having skimmed through is well thought out with background on the Tarot' associations with the Kabalistic Tree of Life, alchemy and astrology. I don't agree with the Authors views on Tarot history and origin, or some of his associations with Esoteric doctrine which I feel was lost under colourful language, but for the most part it is very knowledgeable, lyrical and descriptive and I am impressed by it. I love that the Artist has included the astrological associative symbols discretely into scenery and characters of the cards.

The cards come boxed (as usual for Llewellyn), an awful plain white tuck box which has a tear off flap and does not hold the cards tightly at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dangerously alluring!, 10 Dec 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Bohemian Gothic Tarot (Cards)
If you enjoy vintage/Victorian art and beauty, the dark sister of Magic Realist Press' Victorian Romantic Tarot is a stunning deck with of unmatchable quality. It melds traditional Rider-Waite elements with that of the Victorian era in an evocative and elegant way. The overall colour scheme is of a dark nature with vivid and contrasting colours that really bring the deck to life (or death ;)

The cards are a luxurious matt quality and are slight bigger than typical mass market decks. Even the box is of high quality and rigid with an easily accessible lift of lid. The backs and the extra card (Momento Mori) are an added bonus.

Key to Solomon's Key: Secrets of Magic and Masonry
Key to Solomon's Key: Secrets of Magic and Masonry

5.0 out of 5 stars Controversial and Profound, Refreshing and Honest, 22 Sep 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Lon Milo Duquette writes about the spiritual and historical connections of Freemasonry, Christianity, the Church of Rome, King Solomon, the Bible and the Knights Templar in a controversial and profound yet simple, honest, truthful and objective manner. With those same qualities Duquette also provides an enlightening explanation of the spiritual principles and objectives contained in the magic and rituals in 'The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the King'.

I personally bought this book because I wanted to gain insight into King Solomon and The Knights Templar and I knew Duquette was just the man to do it. Duquette doesn't beat about the bush, neither does he spin tales of fantasy and conspiracy. What Duquette does do, is to take the reader on a exciting yet gentle journey through time as he strips bear, myth, legend and commonly held beliefs to ultimately reveal the biggest and most exciting secret of them all.

A very enjoyable and refreshing book by an author who possesses love, wit, common sense, honesty, wisdom and experience.
