Size 10 Men's Alaska Boot Ascot Olive Lace Up Walking And Trail Hi Top Trainer Boots

3.0 out of 5 stars OK for dog walking., 7 July 2012

Or just plain tromping through the woods. Build quality seems OK, the sole pattern allows traction to be found on muddy slopes, but I would call into question breathable.
If you feel the need to experience stinkfoot, I recommend these boots. Really, they don't 'breathe' at all. Farmers could hire your feet!, ram your feet into rabbit holes and watch the rabbits evacuate! To expect any more from such an inexpensive piece of footwear would be unreasonable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, 6 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
At the time of purchase, £15 bought a phone and £10 airtime.
Wow.
The phone itself is a clicky, lightweight, plasticky thing but it works. Works quite well as a phone with good, clear sound for both parties.
If all you want a telephone for is to make telephone calls and you'd like to be able to do that whilst out and about and text messaging is a bonus, this may well be the phone for you.
Going to a festival?, why risk the loss or theft of a valuable phone?, take one of these and let folk know your new number.
Want an inexpensive phone for your children to keep with them?. Look no further.
Superb.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lampies, stovies + greenhouse users., 5 Feb. 2012
What you really want is the clean burning, scentless, all natural mix of beef tallow from hung carcasses and whale oil. Just go into any hardware shop, enquire about the price of paraffin, then about Whale Oil Beef Hooked.
Having seen the price of paraffin on Amazon, I had a ring-round and found the cheapest price to be B&Q, where I paid £6.49 for 4litres.
Onto the product.
In my paraffin stoves, it burns very cleanly with no sooting and only a mild odour; which I don't find in the least unpleasant.
For my storm lanterns; again no sooting and minimal odour. I don't have a paraffin heater, but can't imagine it being a problem in them.
If you do find the odour unpleasant, just add a few drops of aromatherapy oil before you fill up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well, it works..., 5 Feb. 2012

...And is usefully cheaper than the HP original. But; you knew there had to be one, it shows the cartridge as being empty/status unavailable.
I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't for the annoying red light flashing on the front of the printer. At least I'll be able to judge when it is empty instead of the brain dead gauge in the printer.
Overall then, not bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep some emergency fuel money under your seat!, 5 Feb. 2012
Motorcycle seat that is.
Carefully fold a £20 note and insert into the lid part first. Don't fold it so short that it is shorter than the main body and you'll have no problems removing it even with cold, wet hands.

5.0 out of 5 stars Multi-fuel Trangia goodness., 24 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you have a Nova or one of the BRS Chinese clones; and a Trangia 25 or 27, this allows you to get the two to operate together. It will also fit the Bulin T4 remote gas burner.
Seems expensive for a couple of bits of pressed steel, but remember, a Trangia is for life; and this extends its working capabilities. Much better than using a honey jar lid and expansion plate blanks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trangia clone, not Trangia quality in some areas., 18 Jan. 2012
Guess who copied the smaller Trangia kit. As a clone, it is actually rather good. The spirit burner doesn't run as hot or as efficiently as a Trangia, but there isn't much in it.
Where it really shows is in the pot supports and snap ring. The supports are stiff in operation, bend easily and seem to want to pop the snap ring out when they are folded out to accommodate the frying pan or when repacking. This means your pots/kettle always seem a bit wonky. It doesn't affect the usage but gives a second division feel in use, as does the pot gripper.
It all works though; packs easily and can accommodate a fold-a-cup, spork and firesteel or peanut lighter. Mate it up with a genuine Trangia fuel bottle; they are the best you can get, and you have a very functional cooking system for two people.
The Phoenix can also use the gas converter and the multi-fuel, giving you a year round, all weather system. For those that doubt these systems, whether Gelert or Trangia, they're not called storm cookers for nothing. Shy of a force 10 gale, you don't need additional windshields; they're stable as a rock and as reliable.
Trangia are the best. This is a very affordable, very capable alternative and you won't regret buying it. Remember, you are buying a complete year round capable system for less than the price of some fancy-pants burners. You can have your morning brew before some of the flashier systems have even primed!
Nothing beats meths for sloooow simmering jasmine rice, pilau, pasta etc and in low simmer, you'll get 45 minutes from one fill. Free yourselves from the tyranny of the cup-a-soup and pot noodle and actually cook outdoors!

3.0 out of 5 stars Expensive stuff, 18 Jan. 2012
Aspen 4T is the way forward for stovies. Another reviewer recommends unleaded. Given the cost, try it! your mileage may vary. I found it stank and clogged my preheat tube and jet on the Nova. Another stovie with a Nova runs 100:1 premix. No clogging and the beautiful scent of two stroke rising from his stove. These are older stoves without self cleaning jets.
Aspen burns clean with no clogging, just like Coleman. Can be left in your fuel bottle or reservoir for months with no gumming, just like Coleman but is substantially cheaper. 3 stars because as a fuel, it is good and if you only use 1 litre per year, why not. I'll stick with Aspen or bulk deals on lighter fluid to power my petrol stoves.

It'd be churlish to complain considering the price. It's actually not a bad pipe.Comes apart easily for cleaning too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Transform a Trangia, 11 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Lets face it, Trangia stoves are about as good as you can get. The meths burners are more reliable than a brick, work in all temperatures and once you have the knack, are fantastic for cooking with. That gentle flame allows all manner of slow simmers for rice, pasta, stews etc. You can steam bake, dry bake and slow fry no problem.
Boiling water for your morning brew is a slow process though. This cuts the boil time dramatically. Not so good for cooking, but still usable.
When it comes to sub zero use, although the preheat loop does allow the can to be inverted once the burner has started on gas, it struggles to vapourise at 'boil flame' levels of gas flow, so keep packing the faithful spirit burner too!
This fits all but the Trangia mini. It does fit the Gelert and Alocs Trangia-a-like sets too. A worthwhile upgrade/alternative for the impatient.
