5.0 out of 5 stars A moving, timeless movie, 24 Nov 2005
Words cannot really express the brilliance of this film. It is one of the select war movies that shows the horrible side to war. War as it should be shown, rather than glorified. The terror, the loss, the suffering. It should be compulsary viewing for every child in school. I feel I learnt more about war in this and Saving Private Ryan than I ever did reading books about it in school.
With relatives who were in Austria during the war and fled to USA and UK, this film has an even more emotional effect on me. Every time I see Schindler cry, I want to cry myself.
It's miserable and emotional uplifting at the same time. There is good in every situation, somewhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars A sad day - Peter Kay Sells out, 12 Nov 2005
I love Peter Kay. I think his stand up tour, phoenix nights and the Peter Kay show are brilliant. His John Smith Ads were brilliant. I even like his cameo performances in things like Coronation Street and Katherine Tate Show.

But...........

I think he must have realised that a Comedian's life span is very short, and therefore wants to make as much cash as possible quickly. Fortunately most people who buy this now will know that it is a repackaged version of Bolton Albert Halls, so hopefully will know to buy that DVD instead.

While I was annoyed as I didn't know this... to anyone who hasn't seen that DVD then this is still magnificent. Well.... the Bolton Version is!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Kettle and different to all the rest, 26 Aug 2005
I like this kettle because it works very, very well and it is quiet (for a quick boil kettle), but most of all because it isn't like all the other kettles that look the same. Crome everywhere that gets all manky when it gets limescale on it. This looks very cool in black, next to my expresso machine (which is black) and my braun toaster (which is black). For anyone else out there who is lazy like me, it doesn't need a lot of cleaning!

Canon Powershot S45 Digital Camera [4MP 3xOptical]
Canon Powershot S45 Digital Camera [4MP 3xOptical]

5.0 out of 5 stars A great easy to use, yet sophisticated digital camera, 26 Aug 2005
Forgive me if I can't spell sophesticated, but it is the key word to describe this camera. It has got pretty much all the features of an SLR digi camera, without the size and weight. The Canon lens produces great colours for even the amateur (such as myself). The only thing I would say against it is that the lens cover can be a bit flimsy and get stuck occassionally. Overall a great camera.

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't know why I like it I just do, 16 Aug 2005
It took me about a year to realise that the title of this programme was the name of Keith's ex wife and new husband, for ages I thought it was his name with his ex wife.
If you haven't seen this, then when you first watch it, you will think..... What! Stick with it, Keith's banal, bizarre, odd comments are brilliant. It will have you in stitches, and then scratching your head. It is "Smashing"

5.0 out of 5 stars Embrace come of age, 15 Aug 2005
This review is from: Out Of Nothing (Audio CD)
What can you say about this album. It is simply fantastic. I rate all my songs on my ipod, and this is one of the few albums with 5, 5 star songs. Someday, A Glorious Day, Ashes, Gravity and Looking as you are are in my view some of the best songs of 2004. Roll on next weekend, when I will see them at the Festival. If you don't own it, and like Keane, Coldplay, Starsailor etc, then buy this NOW!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Philips phone, 15 Aug 2005
Maybe I am living in the dark ages, but I bought a Philips cordless phone 2 years ago, and I have just got this one. It is 500 times better. Finally they are putting some of the features of mobiles on home phones. This phone is very easy to use, and works just like a mobile, with a jog dial, screen that should numbers, names, text etc. Rings are ok, and you can download new ones. The only minor snag is that the button in the middle under the screen is the call button, and I keep clicking it by mistake because the display makes it look like you should press it.
Oh and it looks fab! Buy one now

4.0 out of 5 stars classic 70s stuff, 13 Nov 2004
This review is from: Hardcore [DVD] (DVD)
It has it all cheesy music, taches, old guys having fun with fiona. Tennis courts, train carriages, nightclubs, fruit truck, sun oil on a yaght, photo shoot. Etc.
Every cliched 70s porn icon all on one dvd. "Why do you have such an enormous cigarette holder. Because I have such an enormous mouth."
