About Castleberg Outdoors

We are a family-run outdoor pursuits specialist established in 1987. We pride ourselves on our focus on online customer service - we are happy to help with any questions you may have and are committed to offering great value and a fast, efficient service.

Our specialist retail shop is in Settle, North Yorkshire. The shop stocks many of the quality outdoor brands we sell on the website and much more besides.

The shop has been established for over 25 years and our vision is simple - we treat customers how we'd like to be treated ourselves and brands that offer the best quality and durability. Our customers range from walking enthusiasts to ultra distance mountain racers and anyone in-between.

We have been a Paramo Premier Retailer for the past 19 years. We have an extensive Haglofs Shop in Shop and are one of only a few retailers in the UK to have a Salomon S-LAB Shop in Shop. We hold a huge range of Haglofs clothing and equipment and a growing range of Fjall Raven clothing and accessories.

Delivery Information

UK
Standard Delivery is a 3-5 working day service operated by Royal Mail (we choose the quickest method to get your item to you - we use Royal Mail 2nd Class Parcel Post on smaller items (which generally takes be 2-4 working days) or Royal Mail Tracked (which generally takes 3-5 working days) on larger items).

Standard Delivery is FREE on orders over £100. We also offer an Expedited Delivery service which is a 24 hour tracked delivery service operated by Royal Mail (Special Delivery).

Delivery Charges - UK

- Standard Delivery - £3.50 (2-5 Day/Tracked)
- Express Delivery - £6.50 (Next Day/Tracked/Signed for)

Please note - Our 2-3 working day service is not insured or signed for. We strongly advise customers to choose the next day tracked service for high value items. We cannot be liable for the loss of items following their delivery to your address. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss alternative delivery options if required. For customers requiring an item to be delivered to a deadline, we would strongly advise using the Next Day Tracked service.

International Delivery - EU Countries
Postage to EU Member states is charged at £7.95 for the first item and £5.00 per additional item. This service is an express, tracked airmail service and usually takes 5-10 working days to be delivered. Some bulky or heavy items are clearly marked and require you to contact us prior to ordering for a specific price for delivery.

Delivery is 10-28 days or we will advise otherwise prior to dispatch. Some bulky or heavy items are clearly marked and require you to contact us prior to ordering for a specific price for delivery. We are happy to give you an more precise price for international postage prior to your order. Please contact us for further information.

Castleberg Outdoors Dispatch Policies

All items in stock will normally be processed, packed and posted within 1-2 working days. Items not currently in stock, on back order or scheduled to be received from our suppliers will be delivered as a priority - we will advise you following your order of any delays - including an estimated time for delivery to you.

International orders, special delivery requirements and special orders will take longer to deliver - we will advise you following your order or request with a timescale for delivery.

You must inform us within two working days of the scheduled delivery date if the goods have not arrived or have been damaged in transit. We may not be able to organise a refund or replacement item if there is a significant delay in notifying us of the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

By submitting an order, you agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Please note - we endeavour to get all our items dispatched and to you in good time. Occasionally, bank holidays or seasonal delays mean that items take longer to arrive with you. If your item has no been received within 5 working days of your order, please contact us - we'll do our very best to track it down and let you know what has happened.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock with either ourselves or our suppliers we will contact you to ask if you would like us to back order the item for you. You can decide to cancel the order or to be forwarded the item as soon as it is received by us (we will only charge your card once the item is dispatched to you).
