Q. Where do you ship from?
A. All orders are shipped from our warehouse near Cardiff, South Wales.
Q. How quickly do you dispatch?
A. We aim to ship all orders within one working day. Usually, orders placed before 2pm are shipped the same day.
Q. I chose "standard" shipping. How will my order be delivered?
A. Most orders are shipped first class via Royal Mail, so will be delivered with your standard morning post. If the package is too large to fit through your letterbox it may be left in a "Safe Place", with a neighbour or taken to your local post office to await collection. If your order is high value or heavy, shipment will be via courier.
Q. Can I return an item to you?
A. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in it's original condition and we will exchange or issue a refund. You simply need to let us know of your intention to return within 7 days of receipt. If your item is faulty or not as expected, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.
Q. My order hasn't arrived. What shall I do?
A. Most orders are shipped via Royal Mail so sometimes they arrive a little later than we'd like. The first thing to do is to check that you haven't missed a delivery. Although Royal Mail should leave a note to tell you if they've left the package with your neighbour or post office, often they don't, so it's worth checking. If the package isn't in a "safe place" or awaiting collection, and you feel that it has become very delayed, please let us know and we'll be happy to help. Royal Mail advise that most delayed packages will arrive within 15 working days of shipment and we really appreciate your patience during this time.

    About Modern-Tech

    Hello! Welcome to our Amazon store!

    We’re a small business, comprising of family and friends, based near Cardiff in South Wales. There are currently 14 of us working hard picking and packing your order, and helping you to find the right product for your needs. Our aim is simply to provide our customers with the things we want for ourselves – good quality products, the lowest possible prices and great customer service. Of course, we also like shiny, “new to the market” accessories. We’re constantly looking for fresh and exciting products to stock and we all love testing them out when they arrive!

    Jamie and Gemma started the business back in 2005, selling nothing but memory cards for PlayStations, digital cameras and old style mobile phones (the very first ones that could play music, as well as call and text!). The most popular item at the time was the 512MB SD card that seemed to hold a huge amount of data. These days you’d struggle to fit more than a few photographs on a memory card with such a tiny capacity! Over time, we expanded in to other areas and we now stock a huge variety of products, from phone cases and chargers to headphones and speakers, gaming headsets and controllers, flash drives, cameras, batteries and so on, and of course we still stock those tiny little memory cards.

    We’re very proud of our customer base, and we feel we really have some of the best customers you could ever wish for. We regularly have lovely chats via phone or email about the new and upcoming products and accessories we’ve found. Many of our regular customers are home users who buy for personal use, but we also supply other websites and sellers, who buy to sell on to others.

    Prices and Payment

    All prices shown on our website are in GBP sterling and include UK VAT at the appropriate rate. We accept payment by PayPal, cheque, bank transfer, as well as most major credit and debit cards.

    The amount you pay will be the price indicated at the point of purchase. Please note that the recipient of any products shipped outside the European Union may also have to pay import duty or other taxes, fees and charges applied by customs or other authorities in the country of receipt. If you are unsure about whether these charges might apply to your order, you should contact your local tax or customs authorities.


    Orders are shipped once payment has been completed and stock confirmed. If an item is out of stock at the point of purchase, we’ll contact you to advise of the delay and shipment will be made as soon as our stock is replenished.

    We cannot guarantee delivery times but aim to dispatch all orders within one working day. Usually, orders placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday, will be shipped the same day. Orders are shipped first class via Royal Mail (unless otherwise arranged) and usually arrive within 1-3 working days.

    In the unlikely event that your order fails to arrive, please contact us so that we can ask Royal Mail to investigate. Please note, however, that Royal Mail will not class a package as lost until 15 working days (Monday to Friday) have passed from the date of expected delivery. We’re really grateful for your patience during this frustrating time.


    Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. You have the right to cancel an order without reason by the end of the seventh working day, after the day on which you receive your goods, but we extend this right to fourteen days. This right may not apply to goods made to your specification, in-ear headphones that are no longer sealed, perishable goods (or goods that by their nature cannot be returned), video, DVD, audio or software products if the item if no longer sealed, newspapers, periodicals or magazines. This right does not apply to business to business transactions

    Should you cancel the contract we will refund your payment in full within 28 days. It is your responsibility to give notice of your wish to cancel within this cancellation period by email, fax or letter. You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and we kindly ask that you return them to us in their original packaging, or make them available for collection, within a reasonable time. Please contact us via the “Contact Seller” or “Ask a Question” link, on any one of our listings to arrange all returns.

    Cancellations made prior to shipment will be refunded in full immediately, if shipment has not yet taken place.

    Weee Regulations

    The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now U K law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge. The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites. BMCdigital LTD are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when you buy from us a new Electrical or Electronic product. For example, if a customer bought a new EEE item from us we would accept their old WEEE item and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below:

    Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.


    Unfortunately, due to a change in Royal Mail policies, we’re no longer able to ship batteries out of the UK. Deliveries of batteries within the UK will be by courier.

    We offer a “battery take back” facility, which means that we are happy to take back and recycle waste portable batteries. You do not need to purchase from us to take advantage of this service. All batteries should be returned to us directly and will in turn be collected from us by the Battery Compliance Team for recycling. If you require further information, please contact us.

    Refunds and Returns Policy

    If you have a problem with your item, or wish to return it to us for any other reason, please contact us via the “Contact Seller” link found under "My Orders" or by ‘phone on 0800 043 0135. All Returns must be authorised prior to shipment. We reserve the right to refuse delivery of any goods returned without prior notification.

    ** Please note that we cannot accept returns of any RAM once the casing has been opened (unless faulty). Please check BEFORE opening that the item you have received is correct and is suitable for your needs **

    Before shipping any goods back to us, please ensure that the following criteria have been met.

    • A completed Returns Form has been placed in the package with the item

    • All parts received (including retail packaging, where possible) are packed together

    • Items are returned to the correct location (please contact us if you're unsure)

    • Valuable goods are insured

    • Goods are securely packaged

    • Correct postage charges are paid - if postage is incorrect or invalid resulting in a Royal Mail handling fee, the package may be refused.

    Please Note: All goods are returned are at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss, damage or delay experienced whilst the package is in transit, when shipped by you. As such, we would advise that you use a service that provides adequate insurance. We will be happy to reimburse return postage costs to a maximum of £2.95, should a product be faulty or different from that ordered.

    Unless a fault is present, we cannot accept the return of goods made to your specification, in-ear headphones that are no longer sealed, perishable goods (or goods that by their nature cannot be returned), video, DVD, audio or software products if the item if no longer sealed, newspapers, periodicals or magazines. This does not affect your statutory rights.

    If, following examination, goods are found not to be defective, they will be returned to you forthwith and further postage costs may apply.

    Faulty goods will be exchanged for new unless otherwise agreed. If we are unable to exchange for new, faulty goods will be replaced with a model of equal or higher value, or a refund will be processed. If a replacement is not required, this must be stated on the Returns Form.

    We may be unable to replace faulty goods returned more than six months after purchase, due to our rapidly changing stock lines. These returns may be liable to a deduction from any refund, to account for usage. As a result, if the product has a manufacturers' warranty, you may prefer to contact them directly for replacement or repair.

    If you've ordered the wrong product in error, we'll be happy to exchange it for you, where possible. Please return the un-opened goods to us in their original re-saleable condition. We reserve the right to charge a 10% re-stocking fee (excluding VAT) should the goods be in unsaleable condition and without fault.

    Any refunds will be processed within 28 days.
