About Field & Trek
With our origins dating back to 1973, Field & Trek has a long history in the retail of outdoor clothing and equipment. From the very beginning, our aim was to provide a comprehensive range from the world’s leading brands delivering it to you the customer efficiently and at competitive prices.
From the occasional walker who wants to enjoy a day out in the hills to demanding mountaineers pushing the limits in the big ranges, each product is carefully chosen to give you the best choice. With this, we also understand that some of the equipment can be quite difficult to comprehend so we work hard to employ enthusiastic staff who are trained comprehensively to be able to provide clear technical advice that is easy to understand and relevant to what you are doing.
Our 11 stores are staffed by many people who are actively involved in the outdoors and can relate to the needs of anyone getting out and active. The Field & Trek web site provides an easy-to-use shopping experience with our complete range of items available backed up with our renowned Technical Guide to give you information at your finger tips. For telephone orders we have a 24 hour mail order line with Technical Advice available between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday while the Field & Trek catalogue has been produced for nearly 2 decades and gives a perfect opportunity to shop from the comfort of your armchair.

Returns and Refunds
Goods can be returned for full repayment (including delivery charge) if they are faulty or if the wrong item has been dispatched within 14 days after receipt of goods. In this event, simply complete the form on the reverse of your delivery note.
If the goods have been dispatched as ordered but are unwanted, then they can be returned to us (used or unused) within three months* of the purchase order for a repayment or exchange. Only the cost of the goods will be repaid. Any delivery charges incurred are non-repayable. (*This applies to internet and mail-order sales only.)
If the goods have been dispatched as ordered, but are unwanted due to their description on the website being incorrect or misleading, then they can be returned for a repayment (including delivery charge) within 14 days after the receipt of the goods.
Safety and climbing equipment, DVDs and computer software are non-exchangeable and non-returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
With the exception of unwanted goods, items must still be unused, have their original packaging and labelling, and be accompanied by the original delivery note. Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. The card used for the purchase will be credited with the original purchase amount (less any delivery charge paid where appropriate.)
For faulty item returns, Health & Safety regulations require that the goods must be clean and free from mud and dirt, otherwise the items cannot be processed. Please use Royal Mail Postage, for items over £20.00 in value you should use their 'Compensation Fee Parcels' service and for items up to £20.00 you should also opt for a 'Proof of Posting Certificate'. If goods are faulty, or there is an error on our part then we will be happy to repay postage costs based on the pro rata costs of the Compensation Fee Parcel service. Further instructions on returning items can be found on the back of the invoice that will be sent with your goods. Please ensure that you enclose a copy of your receipt with the goods for all returns and exchanges. Out-of-stock goods marked ‘To Follow’ on your delivery note will be forwarded automatically - you don’t need to contact us again. If the goods are not received within 30 days, as stated by the Distance Selling Regulations then the consumer has the right to cancel their order.
