About Chainsaw Specialists
We are a third generation family business with a bricks and mortar business (as well as selling online) specialising in chainsaws, chains and chainsaw accessories; chainsaw clothing; hedgetrimmers; strimmers; gardening items; DIY and hardware; hand and power tools etc. etc.
We are main dealers for Husqvarna and Oregon products, and stock a large range of goods from leading manufacturers such as Bosch, Bahco, Toolstream, Workware, Addis, CeKa, True Utility etc.
We are always pleased to give advice, and can be contacted either in person at our shop, by phone or by email.

DELIVERY, SHIPPING, RETURNS, CANCELLATION, FAULTY ITEMS, REFUNDS.
We use Royal Mail, Standard Parcels and carriers, depending on the size and weight of the parcel. We aim to get your goods to you within 2 or 3 working day after receiving and processing your order. (If for any reason there is likely to be a delay of more than 5 days we will get in touch with you.) If goods have not been received within 7 days of placing your order please ring or email us immediately.
Machines, large items and high value items are usually sent via a carrier, who do deliveries between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. and require a signature on delivery. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. Saturday morning deliveries can be arranged for an additional charge, please ring us to arrange this on 01704 896246. Please see below for details of 'Handy' garden machines.
Please write 'unchecked' when you sign for the goods (unless you want to open the parcel and check the contents before signing), as the carriers may not accept responsibility for any damage in transit if goods were signed 'received in good condition'. Any damage found must be reported to us either by email or over the phone within 2 days of delivery in order for us to notify the carriers within their time scale for in transit damage to goods.

Cancellation Rights. You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days from receipt of delivery. However, you must ensure that the goods remain unused and are retained in their original packaging. You must return them within 15 days of the date of their delivery at your own cost and risk. We will refund the price you paid for such goods provided that the goods are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.
Faulty Goods. If the goods turn out to be faulty or different from those you ordered, you may return them after notifying us of the problem with the goods and your intention to return them. You must return them within 15 days of the date of their delivery at your own cost and risk. We will either repair or replace the item or refund the price you paid for such goods provided that the goods are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. Goods developing a fault within the warranty period must be returned to us at your own cost and risk for inspection, and if found to be a warranty fault goods will be repaired or replaced, with cost of returning goods back to you at your cost.
No claim for shortage/damage will be accepted unless we receive notification within 24 hours of delivery and confirmed in writing within 3 days. Also, parcels signed for must be signed as 'unchecked' unless you open them and check contents before signing for them, as the carriers may not accept that the contents are damaged if the parcel has been signed for as having been received in good condition.
Returns Policy. Non-faulty goods that are accepted for return are subject to a 20% restocking/handling charge, and the reimbursement of the free delivery cost if applicable. Please contact us first by email to get authorisation for returns, as you must send the returns authorisation number with the returned goods. Goods returned at your own cost and risk.
All machinery carries the appropriate Manufacturers' warranties.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
'Handy' products such as tillers, shredders, log splitters etc. come direct from 'Handy', and should the customer invoke their right to cancel a machine as detailed in Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, the machine must be returned in its unopened original packaging. In this instance credit would be for the original machine cost
less carriage & less cost of collection. Machines that are not faulty and are returned for no fit reason may be rejected. Collection & Inspection of faulty machines is £22 + Vat.
