    Ability Superstore Dispatch Policies

    Delivery locations

    We deliver to mainland UK - England, Scotland (excluding Highlands and Islands) and Wales.

    Delivery to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Scilly Isles, the Isle of Man and Southern Ireland can be arranged but may cost more than our standard charges. Please contact us by phone, email or LiveChat if you have a query about arranging delivery to non UK mainland addresses. PLEASE NOTE: that deliveries to these non-mainland UK locations may take slightly longer due to the Royal Mail.

    Unfortunately delivery to BFPO addresses is not possible due to Royal Mail restrictions.

    Delivery prices

    We constantly monitor our product and delivery prices and want to provide great quality products at value for money prices. We use the Royal Mail for many items and Parcelforce too, for larger/more bulky items. 

    Speed of delivery

    We do keep a wide range of the most popular selling items in stock, however with over 12000 product lines available on the website it's unfortunately not possible to keep every single one in stock. 

    We endeavour to deliver your order as quickly as we can - please do allow around 5 to 7 working days (and slightly longer for Bank Holidays). For items which we do not keep in stock we order from a number of different manufacturers and suppliers and they strive to fulfil our orders within 2 to 3 working days, which allows us to maintain our delivery to you of 5 to 7 working days.  However occasionally products are either out of stock with our suppliers or have been discontinued and in these situations we will contact you as soon as we can with alternatives or to provide you with a full cancellation/refund.

    We will keep you informed of the progress of your order through regular emails and will also confirm despatch via email.

    Use of packaging materials

    In line with our environmental policy we often use recycled cartons and packaging, in an attempt to help reduce the amount of waste packaging which ends up in landfill.

    Gift Messages

    If you wish the item you are ordering to be sent to the recipient's address without a receipt detailing the price and with a personal/gift message, please email us as soon as you have placed the order.  We will email confirmation of your request.

    Gift Wrapping

    Some merchants offer gift wrapping for an additional fee. If Ability Superstore offers gift wrapping for an item, it will be noted in the ordering process. In these cases, you will find details of the gift wrap patterns offered and the cost of the service.

    If you order an item and it isn't quite what you wanted then we'll happily take most products back (within 14 days from date of receipt) as long as it is in unused, as new condition and in its original packaging. For some items, such as made-to-order, special ordered items or personal use/hygiene products (such as - but not exclusive to - toilet seats, straws, bottom wipers, cups, cutlery etc) unfortunately we are unable to take the products back. If you have any queries then please call us to ask for further details. Also on some products (eg. Oxford slings) there is a 20% restocking fee (this will be deducted from your final refund) which is charged by the supplier to us as we do not keep these items in stock - this is indicated on the products it applies to.If you have any queries then please call us to ask for further details. On most items where returns are accepted, please ensure that the product is returned within 14 days of receipt. Please drop us an email at or Call 0161 85 00 884. 

    Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of postage (or courier) for returning items. If the item is unable to be posted (for example, it may be too large for the Royal Mail or you are unable to get to your local Post Office) then we can arrange for our courier service (Parcelforce) to collect the item. You will need to allow a few extra days for the return to be collected and received by us and we will confirm, by email, as soon as we have received it safely. If you require us to arrange a pick up through our courier service then the cost of this will be deducted from the amount of your refund, the exact cost will depend on the size and weight of the item. (Please allow between £10 and £20 depending on weight/size.) We will refund the amount via PayPal, or the method you paid by. Any items which are returned outside of 28 days from the date of receipt will be subject to a 15% restocking charge which will be deducted from the final refund.
