When will I receive my order ?
All of our products are made to order here in Weston so please allow 2 working days before dispatch. Once dispatched, your order will be normally be with you in 1 -2 working days. Custom made orders may take longer, you will be advised at the time of purchase.

Do I have to sign for the delivery ?
Yes – although the carrier can leave with a neighbour, or in a safe place if you have authorised him to do so.

What happens if I’m not home when the carrier delivers ?
If you’ve not left alternative delivery instructions the carrier will usually leave a card to say that they’ve been. However if you have not received your item within 2 working days of our sending you a dispatch mail please contact us by email, or call 01934 635260 ext 1.

How can I get a fabric sample ?
We are happy to supply fabric samples – free of charge – all we ask is for you to post us a stamped addressed envelope, please see our contact page for the address.

What about VAT if I live in the Channel Islands ?

We do not charge VAT on CI purchases although, due to the administration time required to complete the customs documentation associated with these, we do make a 20% administration charge.

    About Gilda Ltd

    Gilda opened for business in 1986 by opening a retail shop, selling cane furniture, in Weston Super Mare. It quickly became apparent that making our own cushions would offer more flexibilty & more sales. In the next few years many  retailers took advantage of this concept and wanted the flexibilty of custom made cushions too - so we moved to larger premises to accomodate the demand for our products. In the early nineties we were approached by a chain of prestigious garden centres and as a result began manufacturing garden furniture cushions to add to our already wide range of products. As the World became a smaller place due to the internet popularity, much of the UK's manufacturing went to the far east, and we found ourselves looking for different avenues to achieve sales. We decided to become internet sellers in 2006, and this is an avenue that has grown steadily. Manufacturing is now coming back to the UK, and because there are few cushion manufacturers still in existence we are finding the demand for our products greater than ever. We are able to use our years of experience & templates to manufacture replacement cushions for any type cane or garden furniture. As you will see from our Amazon shop we also manufacture beanbags and foldout products, we offer these in many fabrics & styles including bespoke items.

    Please make sure a mobile telephone number is entered on registration, this will aid in communication for your delivery. 
    You can expect deliveries to arrive any time between 8am – 6pm.
    All of our products are sent via courier and will require a signature as proof of delivery.
    However whilst we will be able to tell you the delivery day we understand you may have to go out at some point, if you leave a SIGNED note on the door telling the driver where he can leave the item, he will do so & take the note as proof that the item was delivered as instructed.
    If delivery is attempted, and no one is available to sign for it, a card will be left by the courier. The card will contain instructions on what to do next. You can contact the courier directly to arrange a re-delivery or you can collect the item from their depot.
    After 2 failed delivery attempts, your items will be returned to our warehouse. If an item is sent back to us as a result of failed delivery, this will incur a delivery charge to you of a minimum of £25 in order to cover the cost of return and redelivery.
    If an item is returned to us as a result of failed delivery, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund the cost of the order, minus £25 to cover the cost of return and administration.
    Damaged Deliveries
    We advise customers to check parcels carefully for any transit damage. If you are unsure, or can see there is transit damage to your parcel we recommend that you refuse to accept the item. In this instance, call Customer Services on 01934 635260 ext 1 who will sort the matter out efficiently & quickly.
    The majority of our beanfilled products are sent with all the filling inside and ready to use, however our larger items may be sent out in more than one parcel necessitating some self filling. Should this be the case it will say so in the item description.
