probably won't.

PS3: Twisted Metal
Build a game around Mario Karts battle mode and slap an 18 on the box. Great Chaotic fun.

Wii: Pandora's Tower
Shadow of the colossus style bosses mixed with some zelda style dungeons with a surprisingly dark story

360: Deadly Premonition
If Twin Peaks had a baby with Resident Evil 4, and
Resident Evil 4 drank a lot during the pregnancy.

PS3 : Katamari Forever

360 : Deadly Premonition

PC : Slender

PS3: Valkyria Chronicles - JRPG for the ages, breaks most of the usual convention, set in a fictionalised WWII, epic artwork looks right out of a watercolour painting.

Xbox 360: Forza 3 - because having to pay for Porsche after getting it all along sucks. Get this over 4 for this reason.

Wii: Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition - this needs no explanation.

360: Alan Wake - Intense survival horror with a great storyline and the whole game plays like a tv show.

PS3: MGS4 - Dont really need to say much more, if you're a fan you've likely played it, if you're not you probably never will.

Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles - Massive RPG with a FF12 style battle system. Loads of side quests, brilliantly terrible voice acting and graphics from mid PS2 eara. Brilliant game though.

Vita: Frobisher Says - crazy Warioware style game that uses all of the Vita's features. Great for parties or just to pass 10 minutes.

3DS - Resident Evil: Revelations - The best resident evil game since RE4, nuff said.

Wii- Super Smash Bros Brawl. One of the most re-playable games ever, and probably my favourite series ever.
PS3- Uncharted 2, I simply could not recommend a game more... stunning. Second goes to Journey, as it is a classic, and the best game released this year thus far.
360- Halo 3, the only Halo I really enjoyed, and I had some great fun on multiplayer.
PC- not much of a PC player, but I am partial to RTS', this goes to Dawn Of War as a series.

3DS - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars. Best turn based strategy I've played in a loooong time. Likely to be ignored by many assuming it's a cheap port of console Ghost Recon or un-appreciated by those buying it think it'll be like Ghost Recon but disappointed when they find out it isn't.

360 - Limbo

PS3 - Pixeljunk Shooter

Dreamcast - Ecco the Dolphin, visually mind-blowing, hard as nails, very obscure puzzles, yet at the same time wholly awesome. Really pushes forth exploration and experimentation with a fair amount of skill. Keeps a spot in my top ten games of all time.

Avoiding the obvious AAA titles.

360: Shadow Complex. Best side scrolling platform shooter I've played.

PS3: Flower. The best chillout game there is.

And a few curve balls for cross-platforms:

Binary Domain, Kane and Lynch 2 in CO-OP, Dead To Rights Retribution, Enslaved, Stranglehold.

Can't believe I forgot Shadow Complex, definitely agree I think it's my favourite or at least very near the top. I always forget about it as well (which I guess makes it even more perfect for this thread.)

PS3 - Heavy Rain - Don your Columbo mac and solve this case in a mystery thriller that is quite gritty/dark.

PS3 - Motorstorm Apocalypse. Not everyone's cup of tea with a steep learning curve but get into it and past the annoyances and it's great.

Xbox 360 - Crackdown 2. Great fun, especially in coop with friends.

Yeah I think a few people missed the point of the topic, I think almost everyone who owns a Wii or 360 has played Mario Galaxy, smash bros and gears of war.
