To the regulars and lurkers alike, welcome to the Xbox 360 thread. Here you'll find a group of like minded gamers to while away the working day, to arrange online coop sessions with, reminisce over the last multiplayer heroics or just talk about the next big game release. We discuss classic games from the past, at which point Stopharage will try to exude the virtues of Wolfenstein. Films, music, sport and smashing back doors in are non-gaming related subjects that will often become the talking points of the day. In short, no subject is off limit (apart from Jimmy Saville).

If you are a lurker, the beginning of a new thread provides an ideal opportunity to join in with the shenanigans and banter. Posting on the thread and getting to know the regulars is far more rewarding than just reading posts and only then, will you understand the secrets of GLGAFLAPR.

You will also be joining a thread with a long and rich history. Legend has it that in the beginning there was Bally and Bally had a dream. He dreamt of a place where all those bored at work and who'd rather be on the Xbox could meet, so one day he lay down his pool ball and sock and created the inaugural 360 thread. A fellow gamer by the name of Rangisco sought sanctuary in this newly created haven and thereafter, a round of Tiger Woods 06 was played that very night. Over the years others would stumble upon this place, adding to its rich tapestry and helping to shape what it has become today.

To become part of this merry band of gamers, feel free to add the regulars (listed somewhere below) over Xbox Live, including a brief message to say you're from the Amazon forum so we know who ye are.

What a pathetic W Snarf is. Really sad.

My post that would've been the 10,000th.

"Ah no problem Steve, Bennett had just come on to play and everyone just disappeared!

Yeah, it's a close semi final. I'm playing my game on Sunday if you guys are about we can get it finished then!

Sounds good Wayne, I'll bring my A game.

Free for all? Cheap night."

In all honesty, I expected a few mistakes in that opening post. I wasn't expecting this:-

"We discuss classic games from the past, at which point Stopherage will try to exude the virtues of Wolfenstein."

Yours pedantically for the next 10,000 posts.

p.s Good opening John.

I've added the GT's of the newest thread members to the GT list. This means you made it in gaming but if you'd prefer it not to be up there let me know.

Happy new thread everyone. I'm just about to pack for my weekend in Glasgow so won't be around much today.

Good start to the thread, John. I feel Intelligence.

Alright chaps.

Congratulations on the new thread and 100,000 posts.

Bought Halo 4 yesterday, so looking forward to my first Halo experience. If you want some cannon fodder, I'll be up for some MP or co-op at some point.

May as well add my name (Marc) to the list, as I am hoping to be a regular now. Ta

Very intelligence OP John.

Nice new thread.

Freddie, lighten up, I personally thought Joel's post was a brilliant way to end. Not as good as "I too enjoy packing boxes" but then what is?

Welcome Manuel. What took you so long to 'decide' to become a 'regular'.

In reply to an earlier post on 30 Nov 2012 12:18:46 GMT
Yeah I had chuckle at Joel's post too.

For one, don't tell me what to do.
For two, I didn't know it was Joel.
For three, still a dih kish thing to do.

In reply to an earlier post on 30 Nov 2012 12:19:30 GMT
Christ Steve, if you had been coming to Scotland i'd have taken my pool ball and sock too.
