All this game talk has got me thinking about old arcade games i used to play as a teen and there is one game that i can never remember the name for.
It was a bit like double dragon and i can remember a level on top of lorrys where you were kicking ninjas off it and you could get nunchukas (sorry bout spelling) as weapons of different coloured ninjas red i think, maybe a jungle level too. I just remember taking my pound to the arcade and spending it all on this game.
If you can i,d like the name and also if it is available thanks

Feel free to carry on the thread if you cant remember a game name and if a thread like this has been started before sorry.

Shadow Warriors perhaps (which was the first iteration of Ninja Gaiden outside of the EU)? Not sure if it was ever an arcade release though.

I'm assuming it wasn't one of the more well-known Double Dragon esque games like Final Fight or Streets of Rage? What did the main character look like?

Sounds like bad dudes vs dragon ninja to me. It was a bit like double dragon in that it had two players and the first level was on top of moving trucks kicking and punching enemies off them including ninjas. Plus I'm sure one of the weapon pick ups was nun-chucks.

Streets of Rage 2 i'm sure that had a jungle level and one where you were on top of a lorry

Cheers man, hopefully should be fine. Loved XIII when I played it on the xbox, thought it was enjoyable and very well put together. Loved the visual style and it really needed a sequel (especially as it ends on a cliffhanger.)

next up is a game its another kung fu one i think i had it on the master system i remember you just walk along a corridor and enemies walk towards you in pairs and threes and when you kicked them it was a sound like hiya ya ya with music sounding like dun da da dun da da dun and at the end of each corridor was a boss. i think someone was kidnapped cant remember it,s not double dragon it was out before that

That sounds like Black Belt. I used to have it, a normal side-scroller where everyone was small, then when you fought the boss the sprites were slightly more detailed and larger, and it was a closed arena type fight.

just checked that out looks similar but is was indoors you went up the stairs behind the boss after you beat him

The kung fu game you mentioned was simply called kung fu master. It was released on practically every 8 bit home computer at the time bad I had it for the Amstrad. It was rock hard send I only remember ever getting to the third level lol. It was side scrolling in a house/building and at the end of each level you faced a boss bad once defeated you walked up some stairs to the next level.

Yie ar kung fu was a very popular 8 bit one on one fighter around the same time as international karate, plus you did fight outside a shaolin temple if I remember correctly.
