Damn, I have to go to the bank after work one night this week, and there's a Gamestation next door. I don't need any new games, but if I see it for that price...

I said this would happen , both Fallout 3 and new vegas came down to £20 odd quid after a month

AstroMonkey says:
There should be legislation brought out to say that anyone with equipment that can play any version of Skyrim must buy it at this price.

It's such a wonderful game.

i second that!

Bauer, all games come down in price so not a surprise. It's one of those games that I couldn't wait for and nearly 100 hours into it, I'm not at all aggrieved to see a price drop so soon.

Just be sure to buy the PC or 360 version if you have a choice of which format to play it on.

Dont know whats going on but Michael French from MCV just said this on twitter:

"Skyrim Gamestation deal turning into a bit of a customer service mess. Stores denying ad, so deal isnt live. Angry customers calling MCV!"

edit: Apparently is live.. but if manager doesnt know it, tell them to ring head office

I'm not bothered about it Kai. I think it's worth 40 bucks and like Rich I've already had many hours entertainemnt out of it.

I have heald off on buying U3, Batman and AC:R for this reason though.

Damn, Pc version is still at £34.99, was thinking of getting it for the PC since i'm sick to death of loading times on the 360.

In my 130 hours of play I estimate that at least 10 hours of that was waiting for the damn thing to load! :p

EDIT: Just noticed stoph posted this on the skyrim thread:

"Advise you clear your cache every 10 hours or so of game-time as it helps keep the loading times down"

Makes sense I suppose.

Haha, that's a load of bull from Amazon - they constantly do. Shocked as anybody by this deal, wow.

In reply to an earlier post on 6 Dec 2011 12:16:21 GMT
Amazon do price match. This happens all the time. No point in phoning them up and asking them them to do it...the website handles it automatically.

Just need to wait for it to kick in...provided Gamestation keep their prices there and it's not a mistake of course.

Starting to wish I hadn't asked for Skyrim for Christmas. Although I'm boycotting Gamestation as a general rule anyway.

sounds like a good xmas pressie purchase, now xbox or ps3? I'm thinking 360

Posted on 6 Dec 2011 12:39:49 GMT
go for 360, it has less problems

Posted on 6 Dec 2011 12:43:23 GMT
Thanks,

Just got back to the office with my copy in hand.

Posted on 6 Dec 2011 12:50:18 GMT
360 version duly ordered, deal far to good to be passed up, it will be able to join all my other xmas games which will probably sit in the wrapper for some time while I play dark Souls lol.
