I watched this last night on Sky Arts 1 and just found out they have been touring with it all over the U.S. and are coming to Europe next year. Although there are no dates specified it will be April/May.

The concert was thought up by Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall. Tommy has made some great music for games over the years. His most famous are the soundtracks for Prince of Persia and Earthworm Jim.

The concert had a set of Screens in the background showing clips from every game and the music was played by a full live Orchestra with live singers, a choir and guest appearances.

The concert lasted about an hour which did appear cut down for TV and was interwoven with interviews but I will be buying the Full concert and hopefully going to see it live next year. If you get the chance check out youtube for a few of the concert snippets from the past.

The music played included medleys of Halo, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Megaman, Chrono Cross, Castlevania, God of War, Uncharted and Assassins Creed.

One of the many highlights was a member of the Audience doing Guitar Hero:Aerosmith Emotions on Expert and getting over 300,000 score with Steve Tyler playing guitar to accompany the whole thing.

When they did the Halo Medley a fully Armoured Master Chief with a Plasma Rifle in Hand and a Flag (captured from the Blues) appeared on stage.

During the Zelda medley Laura Intravia came out dressed in a Link costume and played a flute which sounded brilliant.

I only found it while channel hopping :) It was on at 1.50 am so not the most accessible program but I made sure I stayed awake to watch it.

It's not repeated this week. Maybe a future showing is likely though as they do appear to repeat some things over time.

If you're serious, nope lol. I'm Nick "Uncleniccius" Nick. I changed my name because it was too lengthy for my liking.

I'm getting pictures of ladies bottoms from a 'Nick' on the Vita - is that you then ?

(PS I don't have a Vita and I don't think Nick is a Perv)

I don't think anyone else with the name Nick graces this place, aside from Nikos occasionally.

I will have to see if I get Sky Arts 1. I'm with Virgin, but I know there are a few Sky channels in my package. Not that I ever really watch TV.

EDIT - I'll just use the opportunity to say how damn good The Greatest Video Game Music 2 is. I bought it a couple of months ago in a sale here for 2.40, but it's really superb. I lvoe the tracks from Deus Ex, Halo and Fez.
