Tales of Xillia. Ps3. Think i'm recovered enough from Tales of Graces f to give it a try, plus there's some Christmas money on my PSN account making the screen look messy and awkward.

Morningish nerds

Zidane - I'll send some over later. BBI gear is linked to stamina so levelling will enable you to carry better stuff. As an assassin, that will happen naturally over time. Otherwise, I think ranger has good stamina upgrades (up to lvl100).

I did enjoy Brothers :). It's not very long, I played it in one sitting. For me, it isn't a wow game in the same way Journey was, but worth playing for the way the controls are used to reinforce the brother's relationship and definitely worth seeing through to the end.

Burty & Pete - I'm up for some SS anytime. The game has been very naughty revealing stronger offerings but without a straight forwards means of making them. I'm in a grind or die place! I'm also not sure which way to sacrifice at the mo. Currently 20/33. Do I want to go neutral? I don't know. I like my Dark Arm. It glows :).

Kinjoking - no KH for me unless it's new and amazing. Current pre-orders are Destiny, the Division, Witcher 3 and The Order:1886. All subject to the pull of my inner nerd, which is currently leaning towards ToX.

I'll give it a good go, I have decided that SS and guacamelee will be my Vita games for the forseeble future, although Guaca on hard is, well, hard.

hey bunny - it's not that hard to get into - it's an arena style rpg where your various attacks/spells are linked to the face buttons. It takes a bit to understand the customisation options, which are slowly unlocked as you progress through the first chapter.

I put SS on the Vita last night, had a quick bash this morning, only got through that initial cut scene thing. Think it may take a while before I know wtf is going on.

hey doods,

happy new year! I've returned back to playing disgeae 3 on the vita and looking at the post game stuff. It looks pretty hardcore and I may well need to grind a few more levels to stand any chance of progressing.

lady m - i'm up for some more SS, if i can tear myself away from d3 :)

In reply to an earlier post on 10 Jan 2014 07:30:45 GMT
Lady M - Yeah some BBI gear would be great, think i can only wear level 2 at the min tho. Do you know what the requirements are for level 3 gear. I've ventured a little into BBI myself now, managing to avoid Death eventhough he showed up right at the beginning the first twice i tried. Made my way to the condemned goreclops who dominated me 1st time, he's absolutley solid. Think i need a few more levels before i venture further. Playing as an assassin now and i'm loving it, defo between assassin and MK for my favourite class. Noticed you were playing brother's the other day, you enjoy it? Heard it's free on ps+ this month, think i might dload it.

Hey Zidane. Happy new year!

No problem :). Using the godsbane means carrying it around, saving in front of the chest and killing yourself if you don't get what you want for a retry. I never used that method because chests are always random and there are no guarantees you'll get gear, no matter how many times you godsbane. Fighting through the Everfall and looting chests is just as good, plus you level up too. If you would like some BBI gear, I still have some cursed items. You're welcome to have them.

Morning nerds hope you all had a good xmas and new year. Been ploughing on through DDDA and i'm now finished the main story and as many of the sidequests as i could. Now attempting to farm the everfall for decent gear before i make a run at BBI, but i'm having absolutely no luck getting anything other than curatives from the chests. Been reading on the wiki about farming the everfall using the godsbane but i'm not sure exactly how it works. Can anyone give any advice on how to get decent gear?

Lady M- I'm very much obliged for all your help with DDDA over the holidays, your strider was and still is a great help, saved me from many a sticky situation.

Daytona - Thanks for the offer mate but i think i might be too high levels to use your pawn now, however you're welcome to add me if you need the use of a decent warrior pawn. She's about level 60 and in pretty good equipment.

Hey Zidane, if you are mixing up the pawns you use and wish to use a lower level pawn on occassion feel free to use mine (PSN = Daytonax. The "x" might be capitalised, sorry can never remember when away from PSN!) My progress is relatively early in the story so the pawn is not that well advanced. I have to get back to my DD story but have got myself a bit absorbed in another Dragon Age Origins playthrough.

Zidane - you can get RC from collecting them from killing some enemies or from when your pawn gets chosen by another player. You can get higher level pawns from people on your friends list without having to pay RC - add a few people from here should help (my psn is djburty) Otherwise, just use guest pawns at your level and change them every time you level up. You can access different jobs in the inn in Gran Soren.

in other news: Toukiden is now available for pre-order on Amazon for the vita - it is a co-op rpg similar in some ways to monster hunter. It is due out on Feb 14th 2014.

Morning all, played a wee bit of DDDA last night and i'm fairly impressed. Did up to the mission with escorting the hydras head. Story missions seems easy enough but any of the side missions i've tried i get totally owned, not sure if i'm just wandering off into places i'm underlevelled for though.

Lady M - Thanks i'll add you when i get home, i'm rolo_tomassi87. Been using the fighter class as my arisen as it seemed the best of the three classes offered at the beginning, when do i get access to the other classes like assassin or ranger? Do i have to play on through the story more? My main pawn is a strider and she's pretty good, i love the way the pawns offer advice as your just walking along. How does the levelling work? all my pawns are at my level right now, should i hire mor advanced ones? how do i get rc to do this?

I'm getting worried S3 may never come.....

Also, I am getting back on the plus bandwagon this weekend so will be able to ownload Dark arisen and sell my vanilla, and thus get lots of freebies from you lot yay. As and when I get round to it obviously. Trying hard to prioritise games I want to finish before I can get a ps4, its gonna be tough, may just have to cut my losses. just plated Bioshock infinite though so thats one more ticked off the list.

Deep Silver are cutting it fine for a 2013 release. Maybe it's so good it requires no pre release hype ;). We patiently wait ...

Hey Burty :). Sounds ace! Don't know if I can fit it in with Soul Sacrifice coming & Ys next year. Also, i'm determined to see P4G through to the end. Vita is full of rpg goodness.

hey doods,

i've just got a new niche jrpg, sourcery saga, the curse of the curry god - this time for the vita. It is a typical compile heart rpg (think trinity universe, hyperdimension neptunia, mugen souls etc) with a truly bonkers story along with the usual odd characters. This time it is a roguelike rpg (similar to the guided fate paradox) so has random dungeons, turn-based movement/combat, loot, magic etc. It looks and plays like a ps3 niche jrpg; however, is currently only import from the US.
