A friend of mine got his Slim from HMV, as part of the bundle he got Splinter Cell Conviction and MW2, not sure at what price though! I think it might have been 199 or 209 at most

For £4 I would take a splash on pretty much any game. I saw Eat Lead in Toys R Us a few weeks back for £5 and was going to get it, but it was 360 only.

Posted on 20 Jul 2010 17:17:31 BDT
Damn. I saw Eat Lead on Zavvi website too, thought to myself "it can't be that bad", checked out the reviews and was thankful that I didn't impulse buy that piece of dung

I bought Dark Void about a month ago when it was £4.99 on Play, but still not tried it. Might give it a go tonight. I don't know anything about it really, apart from that flying bit.

So far iv'e bought:
Halo 3 - £4
Gears of War 1 - £3
Mass Effect (with DLC)- £5
Alone in the Dark - £2
Fifa 09 - £3

Also I bought gears of war from game preowned and it came without an instruction book, phoned them up said it was not acceptable for me to have to post it back (although postage would be free) so they added £5 to my reward card. Considering the game only cost £3 ... ;)

Oh and xbox live points are at a good price at argos at the moment:
4200 - £29
2100 - £15

BTW cba to set up a new thread so will ask here, I just bought a sky entertainment pack for xbox for £4.99 @ comet though most are sold out now, the one that comes with the remote and sky player codes and 3 months xbox gold. I only really got it for 3 months xbox gold, i assume it is not possible for me to use the sky as I do not have a sky TV subscription. Is that right? If so I will just flog the remote and sky code and get 3 months gold for free :)

Went into PC World last night and saw Red Faction: Guerilla for £4.99 but for PS3 only. It is defo worth a go for that.

I bought Bionic Commando in the end up. Don't know if I'll enjoy it and I have no interest in the MP, but for £6.50 you can't go far wrong.

I also need to finish off Dark Void and get it traded at CEX or Blockbuster - probably won't play it again.

Totally OT here, but the Godfathers trilogy on blu ray is only £14.93 on here at the moment.

The Godfather Coppola Restoration [Blu-ray] [1972]

**EDIT** Back upto £29.99 now.

You read my mind Silver. I was just thinking "I wonder how much the godfather blu-ray boxset is" while looking at the forums LOL.

I'm 100% serious. No sarcasm intended.

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 01:28:54 BDT
haha, good stuff, I hope you bought it? I know I did.

Had a look how much my old DVD set of the Godfather is worth at cex, £3!! Lame. I'm sure I paid about £25/30 at the time.

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 01:35:44 BDT
I didn't buy it. Don't know why but I expected it to be cheaper? LOL

I've spent too much today anyway. Todays been a great day for bargains. Bought Kane and Lynch on 360 for £11, Quantum of Solice Blu-ray for £7 and Californication season 1 for £6!

Bargains FTW!!!!!

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 01:48:22 BDT
Ha, I don't think you will find it cheaper anywhere else, even second hand I reckon.

Kane and Lynch for £11!?! That is seriously expensive! You could get it for less than half of that im sure.

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 01:57:05 BDT
Don't p*ss on my bonfire! :)

Yeh Kane and Lynch was hardly a bargain I suppose. Not too fussed with QoS either, but Californication for a fiver is epic! lol

Xbox 360 Super Elite 250GB console bundles (with either FF XIII, MW2 or Forza 3) are down to £159.99 on Game, Gamestation and Gameplay. Worth a punt over the slim? I'm even a tiny bit tempted myself... but I really can't :(

BIGS 2 Baseball only £4.99 at Play on 360. I've just ordered it - might be a nice change for an MP game. Decent reviews as well.

Tel, you can get PoP in a 2 for £25 deal at The Hut. I think some of the other games were Bayonetta, COD4, NFS.

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 11:53:18 BDT
Crikey, PoP and Bayonetta is a lot of game for £25.

Super Elite bundles have all sold out, that was quick.

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 12:20:25 BDT
Did not like either of them games (Pop / Bayonetta).

On topic of cheap games though I saw FIFA 09 for 99p (Pre-Owned) in Gamestation!

Posted on 22 Jul 2010 13:20:21 BDT
Bayonetta is about £7 in sainsbury's.

£5.95 if you count my 15% discount!

Really? What platform? I was in there yesterday and it was £13 on 360, but I didn't see the PS3 version.

My father-in-law works there, but I probably would just get it myself for £7.
