My apologies on behalf of the USA. We're normal, good people who love video games, just like you.

I hope you guys curb stomp the Italians today! Go Three Lions!

P.S. - Thank you for the Beatles, Zep, Pink Floyd, the Stones and Radiohead!

To be fair, everyone that's popped over this way from the US has been a sound guy/gal.

We're used to people trolling everyone now and again and the default reply tends to be a discussion about the merits of various biscuits. You could try that on the .com site and see if that deals with the idiots that turn up.

Haha, we actually do that with our own trolls, except in place of biscuits, we tend to discuss what we are going to eat for lunch that day. Unfortunately, there's always a handful of people who just can't contain their rage and end up feeding the trolls. But that's funny that we use the same tactic on both sides of the pond.

Not all Americans are trolls, but most them of are, and all it takes is most of them

Steve Xander says:
I think the only people who feed the trolls here in the states are other trolls who viciously defend their position for no reason.

Well, based on what's been happening over here lately, I can't blame you for thinking that.

If you ever get the chance, I'd really encourage you to come to either Boston or Seattle for one of our PAX Conventions. Really great events with lots of good stuff going on everywhere and will give you the chance to see how great gaming culture and gamers themselves are over here. Cheers.

The troll posts were very few. Most were banter back and forth. Now it is just serious discussion like we usually have across the Atlantic.

We do get a few trolls over there, but usually they get ignored. However, sometimes it is amusing to respond and have some fun.

I live near Seattle: I keep forgetting about the Conventions.

To be fair we have had our own troll comps on this side of tge pond. Such as starting threads in the Religion forum such as "If Jesus did return to Earth would he have a 360 or PS3?" best bit is the religion forum dwellers try to answer everything philosophically. The music lads occasionally come and give us some grief until we return the favour on their boards and they bow to the peer pressure within their group to leave us alone as we are infinitely more childish and easily amused(hence Jesus 360/PS3)

It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye ;-)

The English do make wonderful cream biscuits. Oh, and I miss those English steak pies and Stoney Ginger Beer. Can't find good eats like that here in the colonies...

Ah, I see from your dialect you must hail from Swindon. I had my first authentic English fish n' chips at the Savoy. Not even in London town should one find such brilliant fish n' chips.

I agree, I occasionally drop by the American forum and found it to be a decent place for videogame discussions.

Though to this date I still don't understand why 3 people voted down someone who asked me if I was british because of my wording(Someone asked randomly a few weeks ago). Guess people were being nice there, though I wasn't offended or anything.

Amazon UK is best for daytime/evening discussions, and the USA forum best for nightime discussions when this place dies down a bit. All good as far as I'm concerned.

"I had my first authentic English fish n' chips at the Savoy."

You need to go to a seaside town to find authentic fish and chips, not a stuffy overpriced hotel!

NB - I have never eaten or stayed at the Savoy so I cannot comment on the actual quality of their food.
