Hi, having been a pc gamer I am now thinking of something I can just plug into the TV. I know everyone is into on line gaming, but due to a disability eye to hand co-ordination isn't great and so I'd be a liability on line. Therefore I'd like a console that can provide good value single player action/adventure games.
Many thanks
BW

Without wanting to start a heated discussion -- I would recommend ps3 with playstation plus.

All as good as each other tbh.

You looking for Old Gen (PS3/Xbox 360) or New Gen? (PS4/XBone)

Most games available (more so on old gen) are Single Player.

All depends on your preferred genre of gaming aswell tbh

PS lovers will say the PS4 - or PS3 depending on how many games you'll get through as there's a larger range to choose from at the moment.
Xbox Lovers will say the One - or 360 (same reason as the PS3)

Pick whichever one you a) have the money for b) like the look of.

They're much alike (I love my PS but with your ailment the use of the Voice commands and Kinect may be quite useful to you so an XboxOne may be best).

but due to a disability eye to hand co-ordination isn't great and so I'd be a liability on line - There's plenty of us with fully functioning limbs/eyes that are a liability at the best of times lol, enjoyment is key not how great you are! :)

To be honest if you've been gaming on the PC I'd say go for the PS3 for the likes of the uncharted series, last of us and ratchet and clank.

It's really down to personal preference but I prefer the PS exclusives to the ones on the 360.

Thanks folks for such a quick response.I prefer action and adventure games with a story line. On the PC very much a fan of Tomb Raider/Call of Duty/Far Cry sort of stuff. By the sounds of it I'd do best to pick up a PS3 for the number and variety of games available.
Again my thanks.

Deepnding on if you plan on getting ps plus -- i would stay away from the 12gb super slim or you may find managing your held data a bit of a pain. .

PS3 with PS+ (£4.99 a month, or £11.99 for 3) is what I'd go for. (I have a PS3 & PS4 btw and a Gaming PC)

You get free games every month with the subscription active. Farcry 3, Grid 2, Borderlands etc are free at the moment, and more become free every month, fantastic service tbh..

PS3 sounds like a good bet - with the latest Tomb Raider being available and, of course, not forgetting the Uncharted series!

I'm overwhelmed by your quick and kind responses to my enquiry. Much to think about. I may even have a bash at online gaming. If I do I'll use the name lemmycaution54 if possible. So if you guys see it run for the hills! Again my thanks.

Can I just ask how come you've not considered buying singleplayer games on the PC? Most, bar the exclusive PS3 games, are available on the PC at a cheaper price and you can use a 360/X1 pad.

For that reason alone if you're insistant on getting a console I'd say PS3/4.

I love my xbox but I would def recommend ps3 for single player experiences as their exclusives are better for this whereas xbox exclusives are more mp orientated.

every console has their fair share of great SP games, which console is better is simply down to preference, although a lot of SP games are cross platform, since PS is region free, you can get a lot of Jap games and NTSC games that xbox simply cant unless you buy a region specific console.

I would also suggest a PS3 and PS+.

When buying a PS3 i would recommend buying the 160gb or bigger version (do not buy the 12gb version), you can upgrade the size of the harddrive but make sure you are happy to do this before purchasing.

completely agree with this, I loved my 360 but all the great Single Players (bar Alan Wake) are available on the PS3 anyway. The 360 does have Left 4 Dead's but if your not bothered about coop either go for PS3 and Plus.

You have the last of Us, Uncharted 1,2,3 Heavy Rain, Beyond, Infamous 1,2 .... all imo great (Sony exclusive) SP games. Add PS+ and you have a shed of games awaiting, im quite jealous lol.
