I loved twin peaks as a kid... I watched it every Tuesday (maybe Thursday?) night when it was on TV when I was about 13.

I never missed an episode of season 1, then my Thai Boxing class moved to Tuesday (or Thursday nights - a 'T' day anyway) and I missed all of season 2.

I waited 20 odd years to see it again some how, then saw it on DVD box set - back when boxsets cost about 50 and in my excitement bought it, not realising it didn't contain season 2... I was gutted. Even more so when I nipped down to HMV the following week and was told season 2 wouldn't be coming out because of legal ramblings.

5 years or so on I got a hot tip you could buy both season in a Dutch box set so forked out for that. Then I bought Fire Walk with me, and the book - The secret diary of Laura Palmer. That was about 4 years ago and I still haven't got round to watching them yet... I'm waiting for the perfect time! Nothing is going to spoil my viewing of this series.

I was in HMV the other day and saw you could now get the Dutch boxset I bought years ago over here now too, but I don't care - as I say nothing is going to spoil my pleasure of Twin Peaks. Sometimes I think I might save it another 20 odd years for my retirement.

If anyone revealse who Bob is or gives anything away on this thread, I will personally hunt them down and kill them... I will beat them over the head with with the log lady's log and scald them with damn fine coffee.

Actually, I might start watching it over Christmas.

Always the way with boxsets isn't it?I really want the complete Larry Sanders but will wait till new year.I am really into Lynch right now.I have to say though once the Laura Palmer story is wrapped up on series 2 and Lynch left to make Wild At Heart the quality drops significantly.I want to get Diary Of Laura Palmer. You should get watching over xmas. From pilot to episode 17 or so it's cool.I loved the film but i do like the darker stuff.Watch it after the set though. You can watch up to episode 17 and the film.I am struggling to finish the second season,i'm at twenty.Nice to hear from you Truth i have been embroiled in a right old girl fight.I had to calm down,i felt like doing what you said above about someone revealing Bob.Woah....Bob is truly frightening.I HOPE no one comes on and says anything.

RE Bob: I know, he's proper freaky... I can still kind of see him, burnt into my minds eye; with his long grey/white hair... I saw him in the final episode of season 1 and that's the last thing I remember.

I picked the secret diary up on here I think. It was second hand and cost about 2 quid. Most of the reviews said it was really good even if you're not a fan of the show, and that if you are, it really ads to everything and fills in a lot of blanks. You should get it.

Hmmm. I'm watching the Wire again at the mo, but might stick it on after I finished them. I was going to watch Battlestar Galactica again, but that can wait. I've seen that a couple of times now... that's a pretty good series too. Not what you'd expect and nothing like the old one.

Lynch is a fantastic horror maker.I mean i really start to feel dread and sweat at some of the scenes he makes. And the way he films screaming terrifies me.He sort of understands subconcious fear. There was a few momments in twin peaks and the film where i felt the need to turn on the bloomin light or to use one of my babies teddys to hide behind.Obviously the rest of the time i'm well hard...know what i mean guv?Bob its so fantastic the idea and name.Utterly benign yet so scary.I do not think i could be the same if i met anyone called Bob now.Lynch has put me off for life at that name.Bob....i get the shivers now.I remember the old Battlestar Glalactia with Face from the a team have not seen the new one.I want to see six feet under, the wire and maybe mad men.The thing with box sets though is there like a drug, visual crack. You end up having to buy between 5 to ten boxsets, forkout loads of dosh and you start clucking if you do not get a fix.I know i the wire would be good though.I watched the first two series of dexter which started off ok but got kinda silly and unbelievable.I do like it to have a little realism.Lie To Me looked interesting with tim roth. But with the american tv dramas they do so many episodes.I noticed you liked Eastbound And Down,i got the 2nd series it was funny.

East bound and down is wicked - I've forgotten the geezers name but I really rate him.

The wire is awesome. If you like a bit of realism that will be right up your street. The shield is meant to be good too, but I've never seen it.

Another of my raves at the mo is sons of anarchy, with Ron Perlman. That's really good too.

Never seen mad men, but I have them to watch... Heard its good.

Battlestar is great. It's really gritty. It's very political and deals with themes of religion, and is very close to the bone considering the times we live in. Everyone turns their nose up at because it's Sci Fi, but love it when I make them watch it. The pilots a bit slow, but it's necessary. If you get a chance you should watch a few and see if you like it.

Its one of the most challenging and thought provoking things I've seen on TV.
