I have told Amazon many times that if they keep insisting on using these idiots they will lose business. I have never come across such a bunch of disorganised idiots in my life!

Never experienced any probs with HDNL/YODEL in 5 yrs _ of Amazon Orders, not exception to rule, just some people can never be satisfied in life & like a good whine about trivial matters. Amazon are very pro-active & would asnwer any complaint if it was genuine, thankfully they can see through all the guff people speak from time to time about deliveries / orders et. grow Up!

Mr. Duncan, I do not know you so will assume your motivation is honest but would assert that my experience is based on a wasted days leave. Rather than prone to complain my raising issues was based on NOT getting responses from YODEL nor any resolution. It was only Amazon's intervention which sorted out issue not YODEL. I was also informed that there have been problems other than my own. I believe these forums are valid and important so please let's keep the exchange of views polite and cordial.

Do some research. And also, Amazon did reply to one bloke who complained, they said they were aware that HDNL are an inferior service.

@ Damaskcat

As I said before it's good to know that some Yodal/HDNL customers are getting good service, BUT ...

... there is no need to be so disparaging about the experiences of other people.

I know that you're not "THAT" person, normally, and there is something about Yodal/HDNL brings it out in people - supporters and sufferers alike.

Neither was their any need for T Duncan to be insulting.

You appear to be criticising those of us who have had problems with Yodal/HDNL as if it is our fault that we have had the most appalling service possible.

To paraphrase you: `just because YOU haven't had any problems doesn't mean that NO-ONE ELSE hasn't had a problem'.

Yodal/HDNL was one of the most complained about companies last year (according to BBC Watchdog).

I'm glad that you and your family and friends have had good experiences, I happy that T Duncan and QB and others have also had good experiences ...

... but that's only 5 good, there are 24 bad, and 3 mixed experiences.

To quote you: "[we] can only speak for [our] own experiences" and that's what we are doing - you've had good and we've had bad - but just as I don't pour scorn on your experiences so please don't belittle mine, or my sister's, or my mothers.

You and the others who have had good experiences appear to be the lucky ones, be grateful that you are not having the stress of chasing your purchases, or suffering verbal abuse on the phone from the HDNL/Yodal as my sister did, and so on.

The trouble with people voicing opinions is that everyone thinks their point is the right one. This forum is about a delivery company and it shouldn't get personal.
Hurrah for those who haven't suffered bad deliveries but please do not pour scorn on those who have had trouble with theirs, it's bad enough they are unhappy with the service without other members of the public berating them.
As previously stated I have had terrible service from Yodel Borhamwood branch YET my son sent me a present via HDNL of Romford and the service was wonderful.
I have traded with Amazon since they first started and never had problems until Yodel was introduced. I think that probably the Borehamwood branch (for me at least) is the problem.

T Duncan .. you say you are replying honestly and are not rude or insulting YET you say others experiencing difficulty with deliveries are "bleating, moaning and whine and are like sheep for collectively posting their comments".
Personally, I would consider that all insulting and rude. I don't know why YOU feel you have the right to tell other what to do with their concerns
OK so you find HDNL/Yodel great deliverers ... fine that does not detract from others that do not.
They are just as entitled to voice their views here as are you. Most people writing here do so for a reason, they are upset and angry and feel they have nowhere else to say so. THAT is what forums are for. If you do not want to read negative remarks made by other forum users why come to them ? If you read the history of Yodel you would find that they changed their name because their company had a very bad image with their delivery service. Maybe they would have been better employed in trying to make their delivery service better. Different name same service does not cut it for me or many others.

T.Duncan:
"Do something seriously more positive & gainful- WRITE TO THEM OR TRADING STANDARDS, AMAZON"

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA! My God, that is actually hysterical - shows how clueless you are about the situation if you think contacting Yodel will help.

Why do you think there are so many threads about this company? Do you think people just have one failed delivery, and think:'Right that's it! I'm starting a thread about this without even attempting to call this company and sort things out myself!"

And do you think no one has contacted Amazon about this before?

Get real mate...

It's nice to see you think peoples expensive items being lost, stolen and left in the rain, people taking time of work for nothing and their family members being insulted 'trivial' too.

I say again, do some research. Get with reality.

Without being rude, change the record.

Hi Dumbask, you are back bleating on and on and on and on about how GREAT hdnl is. You my friend should get a life, have you seen how nice the weather is,ever thought of going outside, when was the last time you actually ventured out of your basement flat..

"I don't actually think we're the only lucky ones - we're just the only ones who've been brave enough to raise our heads above the parapet and say we've had good service."

Indeed you are correct on this point. In fact, there is a whole thread calling for people (like yourself) who think Yodel do a great job, to post and say so!

For some reason, it's not doing very well. In fact, most if the post are from disgruntled HDNL customers still saying how shoddy the company are. How odd.

Actually I am not your "mate", I have no interest in other's items, dead right-why would I ?? But the endless bleating about this & the argy bargy is amazong. Christ if you people invested this amount of energy, poison & ratty manner on a more productive issue, wow-what a place the world could be. Christ, what a forum- just a load of crap really, It's actually you folk that need to get real. You HAHA the actual procedure of complaint, still moan, I don't need to get real, simply put you are a bunch of moaning, hopeless sheep- who clearly enjoy nothing more than a bleat, so what you then bitch about, is someone who clearly take's you up on this. Surprise Surprise, human behaviour at it's neediest - a"forum" of sheep (Bitchy one's too, when challenged).

I note that T.Duncan's profile says they live in Aberdeen I also live in Aberdeen. I have ordered approximately 1000 varied items from Amazon over the last 3 years, ranging from books, CDs, DVDs through vitamins, cosmetics, hand tools, power tools, office-furniture and TVs.
Not even one of my items has been sent via Yodel/HDNL, Amazon have only used Royal Mail, ParcelForce and City Link. It seems strange that they would have used Yodel for all of T.Duncan's orders for the last 5 years and for none of mine, but I am not complaining.

I HAVE had items delivered via Yodel from other sellers (eg Lakeland, Debenhams) and when I have been at home i have had no problem. But in 50% of the cases when I was not at home I have had difficulties in reliably arranging a re-delivery using Yodel's systems - in fact it is clear they do not have a reliable or rigorous approach in their Aberdeen depot to handling non-delivered items.
I have contacted Yodel to document the problems and NEVER had a reply (although I did receive automated acknowledgements of my emails).
Most recently i have sent my complaint directly to the seller to see if they respond any better than Yodel (and to make them aware of a possible issue with their chosen delivery company).

(I see that since I posted this, T.Duncan has changed profile name to Farmer Duck and removed the reference to Aberdeen in the profile.) Possibly the claim of 5 years service from Yodel without any problems is also fake.

The Truth ... I don't think that being reasonable is what T Duncan is capable of. You always get someone who comes along on a forum and starts attacking other forums members. They seem to take a delight in it. Ignore him, you are entitled to your opinion of Yodel. They havent shown themselves to be very good in the marketplace for deliveries and in the long run that will affect any contracts they make in the future. We customers should keep plugging away at Amazon through forums and phone calls and hopefully they will get the message soon. I myself will not order anything that requires a delivery by a courier but will stick to books and objects like that.

Hi Maggie,

Yeah, I know. As has been pointed out, it's doubtful T Duncan/ Farmer Duck has even had 1 item ever delivered by Yodel anyway... For all those interested, here's an online petition to stop Amazon using Yodel:

Thanks to Molly's post, I found this online petition to get Amazon to stop using Yodel/HDNL

T Duncan/Farmer Duck.

Hi mate. if you wont get real, I will... How's the trolling going?

Not too well by the looks of things.

In the future, may I suggest you do a bit of research on the subject your trolling about. It makes you look less of an idiot.

You say: 'I have no interest in other's items, dead right'

I say: You should get a job with Yodel. You'd fit right in.

I am still Ha-Ha- ing you by the way, mate...
