I love this film as well, but I wonuldn't want to list all the Hitchcock films that it takes in. Although I will mention I love the shower scene (Psycho), and the birds chasing him and crapping everywhere (The Birds).

Now Young Frankenstein I do remember! Thats an hilarious film. Marty Feldman was a genius.

And no, this is not my real name.

Thanks Mark Twain if that really is your name? It is on there now, I just selected DVD, then clicked edit this post, and it is showing now in films. If you are not a Hitchcock, or Mel Brooks fanatic then you can't really have an opinion, if you are a Hitchcock fan, then check out High Anxiety, nothing like Blazing Saddles and stars Mel Brooks, Gene Wilder is not in this film, but all the other old Brooks stalwarts are. It is set in a home for the "very, very, very nervous", and Brooks joins as the new top shrink. He is also hiding is own neurosis. Once there he meets his mentor from Medical School, Professor Little Old Man, no, no, it's Liv Olmann he says. It is all like that, but I THINK it's his best film apart perhaps from The Producers and Young Frankenstein. Check out the opening sequence, I hate flying and I wet myself at this opening sequence. (I don't actually hate flying, but I WOULD HATE CRASHING). Thanks for the help, try and check it out, it is on Channel 4 or Film 4 quite often with the 3 other films they have!

At the top right of the page you are reading now, there is a box labelled: "Jump to tag"

If you type "film" and click GO you should be able to find the forum you seek.

With regards to Mel Brooks, the only film of his I can remember is Blazing Saddles. I used to like him as a child though.

Thanks for that, I thought I had. Don't know how to do that? Think I just did it again under DVD. Can you advise me, I am new to the Film Reviews, but loving everyone I do. Feel like I am BARRY NORMAN! I have been "published". Thanks again. Have you got any views on the topic, as I think I know every film Brooks parodied in High Anxiety. Want to know if I missed any. Regards.

You might get more response if you post this in the film section.

High Anxiety [DVD] [1977]. I love this film, watch it frequently over and over again. As I think I have a pretty good knowledge of the Hollywood onwards Hitchcock, I think I have picked up all the different films Brook's referred to in this film. I am not saying how many or what films. Is anyone else out there prepared to list the references and films, lots are repeated, in this film. Obviously Spellbound is the major one and other clear parodies. Start submitting now. (I may have missed or few, be great to learn of one's that I either don't know, or missed completely). Good Luck, the winner gets nothing!
