We're watching "The Killing 2" at the moment, actually. Which one is Mikael Birkkjaer - is he Lund's new partner? If so, then yes, he does look the ideal candidate.

I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait to see Jo Nesbo's books adapted for the big screen, or even the small screen for that matter!

Yes, I can see Vigo Mortensen as Harry, but I'm not too sure about Liam Neeson.

Somebody has suggested Mikael Birkkjaer from "The Killing 2" - I think he's the chap who's playing Sarah Lund's new partner. If so, then I think he would also be a fine choice.

My husband likes the idea of Daniel Craig, but I feel this would be a case of overkill in light of his playing in the English adaptation of "The Girl........"

Personally, I like the idea of Jeremy Renner, he's got the acting chops, the Scandinavian look and he's also the right age group. I think he'd be perfect.

Whomever is casted, I can't wait to see Jo Nesbo's adapted to film.

I've not read any of the books. How is the character described in the books? i.e. what age, build, height etc.

Not that any notice of that was taken in the casting of Jack Reacher. However, who knows, some notice might be taken. It might also be nice if they used a Scandinavian actor.

Read Jo Nesbo's books. HH is the leading character in 9 crime novels, just as Jack Reacher is the leading character in Lee Child's books.
