OK, but if you send him round I'll rough up his edges for him. What about the guy that acts K in the new MIB? James Brolin?

Apart from Grisham you read the exact same authors as me. Bolitar/Win my favourites, Cole/Pike close behind, (Taken, omg, when Pike turns up, "I got you", yes, I blubbed). Reacher is a recent discovery, whose the choice?!!!?

Tom Cruise. Won't be going to see the film, would ruin my image of Reacher

Maybe. I think the authors should write the books and never make films. The fans make them rich so they shouldn't disregard our views. Films and books don't always make a good mix.

No way!!!! Reckon Cruise has redeemed himself in the latest Mission Impossible, but does not fit the
Reacher profile. With you on this. Welcome by the way!

Latest mission impossible was not as good as the others. I am sooo mad with Lee Child for ruining my image of Reacher. How can 5" nothing Cruise meet up with 6"4 Reacher. Idiots. Thanks for the welcome.

Trashfairy, I haven't seen new MIB but think James Brolin is a bit old. His son Josh however would be perfect. Tom Cruise IMO is a joke in any role, now he's going to be in the film version of stage show Rock of Ages. He's sure as h*ll no Jon Bon Jovi.
A bit of perfect casting I think is David Morrissey as Mark Billingham's Tom Thorne. Mind you I'd watch him in anything. I thought Stephen Tomlinson would have been rubbish as Alan Banks but he's not bad at all.

Josh! That's right! Josh Brolin. Sorry. Brainfried.

Yeah, Jason Isaacs could work. He's great in "Awake."

Checked him out, with you all the way. As some of us have mentioned before, we are the ones who read these books and know these characters and fur-line their bank accounts, COME ON! ASK US! We could have saved Child the embarassement of the Reacher mis-casting.

got to agree with some of the earlier suggestions of Gerard Butler. Moody and troubled enough to be able to pull it off. Absolutely love the Bosch novels. much better than the James Patterson drivel of late.

Someone in a Crais book has compared Cole to a "Young Johnn Cassavettes". So there youi have it!

Mick Belker is not too far off. Clean him up a bit and he fits the bill. I Always thought of Peter Coyote when reading Bosch. Chris Cooper or William Macy would fit the bill now. But I'm weird anyway! And Bosch has a moustache in the earlier books.

I have read several of the Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connely I always imagine him to be like the cop from Hill st Blues, bit of a maverick doing things on his terms against authority etc.

Is there any truth behind the rumour Bill Treacher is to play Dennis Hopper, in a film biopic?

Started re-reading the Bosch books upto the fourth now 'The Last Coyote' and surprisingly to me I still think of Jerry Orbach as the actor to play him (well if he was still alive, although he was alive when I first thought it)
I don't think he looks specifically like him but just seems the right demeanour.
