Thanks for the reply. The show that I'm trying to remember was more of a knockabout sitcom, a bit like Bilko but with kids rather than squaddies.

Nellie the Elephant
A shortlived cartoon series from around 1990 about an elephant that escaped the circus and is trying to go home.

OMG, I remember that, oops I mean I have never heard of this cartoon before, I must admit I never knew Lulu did the voice of Nellie

I don't remember that one, but do you remember Noah and Nellie about an Ark (funnily enough!) and all the animals in it and Nellie was always knitting!!! Probably circa 1983 ish. Wobbly graphics a bit like Rhubarb and Custard. No-one seems to remember it. Fred Bassett and Ther Perishers that were another two progs in the same teatime slot.

Also, what about Dr Snuggles (which was a bit bonkers), Mr Majeika and there is one programme I cannot remember the name of but it had Janet Ellis in it from Blue Peter and featured a strange masked man called wobblybot? or bobblenose? I can't remember what he was called, but you get the picture! Does anyone remember this or am i going completely mad?

Darren West says:
Dawn,

I think the programme you mean is called Jigsaw http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0229904/ and the character in the mask is called noseybonk.

I personally can't remember this programme.

Noah and Nelly in Skylark! great little animated gem of a series

Noah and Nelly in the Skylark: During a Very Funny Day and Other Adventures [VHS]

I think my forgotten favourite was a Manchester based drama set in a particular street - it was on quite alot during my childhood - I can still hum its mournful theme tune, it featured an array of everyday characters who would often interact in the local pub or shop, the precise name escapes me - king street or something of that nature...well, they certainly don't make TV like THAT anymore.

I was in the pilot of LA Law as an insurance claims adjuster...it was directed by Greg Hoblett who directed Ed Norton in his first feature...Primal Fear....I just did a guest shot on Army Wives and my scene was with Kim Delaney who starred on NYPD Bllue....30Something was one of the great series of the 80s.....Ken Olen Timothy busfield and Melanie Mayron to name a few of the great ensemble cast

I am looking for a film which I saw many years ago but cannot remember the real title it was something like " The summer of the Vinzi Contini". It was set around a wealthy Jewish family in Italy in the last summer before the second world war. I think it was British and I would have seen it on T.V. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Alex Wolfe.

I want Earthworm Jim back! - Funniest cartoon ever, with Queen Slugforabutt, and the Psycrow, an evil cat that coughs acid furballs, a megalomaniac goldfish, and Peter the Puppy who turns into a ravening werewolf whenever someone mentions Haggis!

Ms. C. Marsh says:
Earthworm Jim, that brings back memories, used to play the computer game. Does any one remember Morris minors marvelous motors, a 6 part comedy series from 1989 starting comedian tony hawks, andy serkis and una stubbs, or how about mary whitehouse experience with david baddiel, rob newman, hugh dennis and steve punt. I also liked kids in the hall.

Thank you so much C. Hunt. I have now been able to find and order the DVD. You are so clever to have found it using just my very poor clue.
Yours amazed,
