I always like it when a tv series has a really good theme tune as well.
I'm listing 10 that are particular favs of mine:-
Department S
Danger Man
CSI
Law and Order
Dangerfield
Harbour Lights
Gideon's Way
The Baron
NYPD Blues
Treasure Hunt

Anyone else got any particular favourites?

Some of my own include
The Prisoner
Man in a Suitcase
The Persuaders
Cagney and Lacey
The Bill
But the one thing that really annoys me is when you buy a CD soundtrack album and they are not the original recordings.Talk about short changing...

Was 'Falling' by Julie Cruise the actual theme to Twin Peaks? If so, I fully endorse its inclusion here. Great song.

Can anyone remember the name of the show that used Aretha Franklin's version of Lady Madonna as its theme music? It was an American programme. I vaguely recall it being called Grace Under Pressure or something like that.

Yeah that was the theme to Twin Peaks.
I'm not sure about your other question - someone else might know the answer to that one.

Dick Turpin, particularly the exciting beginning with the harpsichord!

Jonathan Creek

Midsomer Murders

The 70's Lord Peter Wimsey series

The cheery little banjo tune on The Mind of Mr. J.G. Reeder (although some of the incidental music sounds like someone who is just learning to play banjo!)

The Duchess of Duke Street

Department S

Box of Delights

Wilde Alliance
