I wish we could have the old Border Cream Eggs back again! They were the same size as Cadburys Crème Eggs. but were made in Scotland, and the centre was full of chocolate. I have not seen or had any for years!

Nope, Texan was nougat, like a harder version of a Double-Decker topping.
Couldn't beat Texan bars, and Rancheros - bacon flavour crisps...mmmmm the early 80s!! ;D

Five boys was made bvy Fry's. I remember that boy's face like he was my kid. Curiously old-ashioned in some way. Cinder toffee, either with or withou chocolate (Hah!) coating was, like nougat and coconut ice in pink and white, available from a stall on Woolwich market.

Yes I do. They were fantastic sweets. Wish Lovells, who made them still existed.

Caramac ice cream bars are lovely and completely in keeping with the orig choc bars - Iceland have them, usually 4 in a box for all of about 89p

I remember some fantastic chocolates in a little cardboard and paper roll - something like "Croquettes" - the only place they seemed to sell them was a little sweetshop near the railway station - my dad used to buy them for me once every few weeks (money was tight then!) on his way home from his shift as a station porter - so they're tied up with a lot of nostalgia, but I remember them as being delicious even if there weren't many in a packet
