Martin Lane says:
I will nominate 'Out Of The Unknown' BBC 60's sci-fi anthology series and 'Journey To The Unknown' another 60's anthology series made by Hammer studios for the US market. Probably 'Supernatural', 70's supernatural/ghost story anthology series from the BBC that was aired on a saturday night.

Actually, Journey into the Unkown is not bad at all. I have a bootleg copy I bought at a comic fair. A lot of people remember it too. It should be on DVD

Hi, I was just reading your post Anita and the one from spiderboris, if you get yourself a multi-region dvd player - you can buy American region 1 imports for a little money and problem solved! I bought one some years ago and its the best thing I ever bought - it only cost £40 from Lidl of all places!!!! Keep your eyes open - or go on the internet to grab yourself one it will save you money and time in the long run if you like me have unusual tastes! I know this might not solve your Twin Peaks problem as you state some of the scenes are missing even on the American version, but other dvds you are after might be available only on region 1 - and sometimes they are a lot cheaper as well. Its just a suggestion.

* "Strange" - Saturday teatime demonic goings on with Richard Coyle and a young Andrew Lee Potts and Sam Barnett.
* "Headless" a tongue in cheek, modern day horror set in modern London with Patrick Robinson and Mary Tamm.
* Third series of "Just Good Friends" - currently only available as a boxed set with Series 1 and 2. I already seasons 1 and 2 as a seperate boxed set , why should I have to buy them again in order to get the final season and discover what eventually happened to Penny and Vince?

Mr B- if you look on amazon, you will find the complete original Batman series in the "box sets £7.99 and under for £5.99-was tempted myself!

EXCELLENT TASTE above. MORE classics from the 60s/70s needed and
LESS OF THE RECENT RUBBISH made after 1985.

Paul Tapner says:
Out of the Unknown, like 1960's Doctor Who, was a casualty of the BBC tape wiping policy of the time. Of the forty nine episodes made only twenty still exist. I did see one of them on a jg ballard tribute on bbc3 a few years back, but would like to see the rest
